A decade ago I never would have imagined I'd be playing Persona 5 on PC. It may not suit everyone's taste (those people are wrong), but it's hard to deny this is an incredibly good and stylish JRPG. Other games wish they could be this pretty and stylish. This game reminds me of the good old days of JRPGs. I played the original P5 in Japanese back in 2018 on the PS4, but playing this in 1440p 120fps with the new content was glorious.

I remember when Persona 3 came out back in the day, and while companies like SE have moved away from turned-based since then, the Persona series has stuck with the same formula since Persona 3, which is a good thing imo. Every time a new Persona is on the horizon I always see some muppets say they want the series to drop the calendar and/or social sim mechanics and go back to P1/P2 style, which would be dumb as hell.

I played the game in Japanese, so I can't comment on the localization, but I CAN say that Sumire is way hotter with her hair down.

Imagine being a game company, removing content from your game for which people PAID, then going crying to multi-billion dollar corporation for "off-topic" reviews as if you're the victim, even though what people are reviewing IS the content of the game, or lack thereof. Disgraceful.

Also, I notice how they never call it "bombing" when it's a bunch of positive reviews. Curious.

Really good video game. I beat Malenia with Rivers of Blood. I am a pro gamer.

Fix your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matchmaking. I should not have several games in a row where I have people feeding on my team, yet for some reason, the enemy team never has that issue. Why do I have someone with negative score on my team? Ban these bots/feeders ffs.

Second, if you're going to have ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ matchmaking, at least don't have so many damn objective game types. Does slayer even exist? I don't know why the veto system stopped with Halo 3, but this game desperately needs it.

Seriously, I hate modern "skill" based matchmaking. Modern devs think the idea of a balanced team is 2 geniuses and 2 morons vs 4 average players just because they have the same "average" skill across the whole team. Ridiculous.

I only bought this game because my jew friend gave me shekels. It's alright. I like playing the fat guy because he looks like my friend.

Idea Factory LIED and the game is STILL censored. All they did was replace the colored cloth with skin textures, but they still glow on those spots where the cloth used to be, and the rest of the outfit (the black parts) seem to be the same as the censored ones. They said they would be the original outfits, and they lied.

Do not buy if you don't want to support censorship. The censorship isn't even the only problem with the game though. The post-processing makes everything blurry, and they put everything on ONE setting, so if you disable it then the game is too dark.

I'm not that surprised, but I am a little bit, because Compile Hearts ports aren't usually THIS bad (or are they?), but this is pretty bad. Plus the blatant false advertising. I am never buying another one of their games again if they don't at least fix the censorship, and I suggest you not buy this either unless you want to support bad business practices.

8/27/2020 Edit: They have fixed glitch costumes for Lucil and Celica. However, the other returning characters still remain with their censored glitch costumes. Justice must be served!

9/24/2020 EDIT: They updated the game to fix other glitches, but even after submitting tickets, have left the other glitch costumes censored. Next time Compile Hearts promises something I'd be wary, because they don't seem to care about delivering on something that should be pretty basic since they already fixed two of the costumes. Disgraceful.

Unironically a really good game and not just another generic Souls-like.

Disregard the angry Chinese reviews. They're just mad because the game's voice actors acknowledged that Taiwan is a real country, and was one before China btw. Obviously the truth hurts, but that has nothing to do with the game, and should be disregarded.

Constantly crashing. Buggy garbage.

Pros:

• Did I mention microtransactions?

Maybe if SE didn't force Eidos Montreal to jam microtransactions in at the last minute they wouldn't have had as many bugs at launch, or maybe they would have had DX12 ready sooner. Also the clear sequel baiting is a disgrace. I guess you can always buy the season pass lol. Maybe after all the DLC comes out the game will feel almost complete.

10/10 loved all the snow and piano. Also, people complaining that the game is under 20 hours should maybe try doing the optional content.
Look. I have all the achievements. Am I the best or what?
