I played it for like two and a half days and racked up about 200 deaths then I found a red portal that took me to the boss. I killed it with my beginning ice wand (same as normal wand just freezes enemies) and was dismayed at the fact that the fight was just standing still and bouncing up and down to shoot around rubble. I had the projectile repulsion field perk and that's all I needed to beat the boss. 9/10 will play again to beat nightmare mode.
