EDIT: This was my review when I started playing the game. I am now more than 1.2k hours in. this game rocks in more ways than I care to describe on this steam page. If you're interested to find out what's so cool, play the game for yourself :)

First and foremost, I have never played F-Zero or Wipeout. But nevertheless, when I heard an ultra fast faced racing game came out on Steam, I had to get my hands on it. This game is everything it is hyped up to be and more, But first I will go over some strengths this game has, and some areas the devs could improve on to make the game better in my opinion.

Strengths:
-INCREDIBLY Fast paced. You get in you Class I car the first level and you already feel incredibly fast in it. Now please know there are 4 classes of cars, and the higher the class number the faster they go. And I mean a LOT faster.
-Difficulty. The difficulty in the game is surprisingly well impolemented. Instead of having the AI racing around on perfect maneuvers, the difficulty is set by the actual track. In class III and IV, your goal is to basically not die as you zoom around the track at lightning speeds. The Diffuculty mechanic is implemented in the courses themselves, rather than the AI. This makes the skill cap incredibly high and also the game incredibly fun to master.
-Vehicle selection encorporates many different driving styles and all are fairly balanced, to name a few: quick but fragile. tanky but slow, mid speed with a lot of energy (for turbo). It just is very well designed in my opinion
-This game is just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun you have to trust me the sheer feeling of sliding around a turn when your spedometer next to your car says 1200 km/h and you boost out of it screaming by obstacles and cars you've just lapped is phenomenal.
-Also this game is gorgeous, the aesthetic and geometric patterns really enhace the persepective of speed in this game.. I love it.

Areas of Improvement:
-The peer to peer online system is kind of janky, but it's understandable considering not many people play online at the moment (hopefully this changes) and it's not economically feasible to set up and maintain servers.
-Thats literally it thats the only thing I can truly find wrong with this game.

Good Job 34BigThings srl, I love your game. I will be playing this for many more hours out of the sheer adrenaline I get from racing around these tracks. Please make more tracks, cars, and content for this game I would love it so much.

CD PROJEKT RED WE LOVE YOU

This game is amazing, Immersive story, great gameplay, good fighting mechanics, huge open world. I'd like to list some successful mechanics in this game, and also i feel need some touching up.

Succesful mechanics:
1. Fighting system is great. Combat is challenging and immersive. Most fights you will NEED to use signs to give you an edge. Fighting a ton of people? Pop that quen. Fighting huge monsters you cant get close to? Use yrden and lure them to you for the stun. The signs and equipment you use will greatly influence your success in combat.
2. Alchemy is probably the most OP thing in this game. Most people overlook it, but successful alchemy set ups with potions, oils and decoctions will make boss fight WAY easier instead of getting your ass kicked 20 million times.
3. Runes and Glyphs are incredibly useful. Depending on if you are a caster or a melee based character will influence what runes you put on each weapon, and how you arrange your gear's glyphs. More damage based caster? Use those igni and aard glyphs. Ultility caster and melee? Quen and yrden/ axii glyphs. The glyphs in combination with the signs create great build diversity.
4. Almost every quest is fun. Enough said. Sometimes you will be slaying huge monsters, others you will be helping someone find a posession, but always they end up interesting.
5. CD projekt Red does literally everything they can to suipoport their fan base. Free DLC (with the exception of major expansions), response to public requests, everything. If you hate EA buy this game, basically.

Improvements:
1. Game is pretty hard to run, youll need a good graphics hard and a good processor to run this game well.
2. That's it.. only downside to this game is it is hard to run.

Lastly i would just like to add it took me about 55 hours to complete the main story.. I didn't really stop along the way and do anything other than the occasional treasure hunt. If you were to play this whole game through with sidequests along the way I would estimate at least 100 hours for one play through. They Expansions also add about 8-10 hours of gameplay, so props to CD for having the game be so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ BIG.

Anyways, if you can run and can buy this game but don't, there's no saving you.

This game is ♥♥♥♥ and I hate nearly everything about it. You get in game you're like oh wow these are cool skins but I don't want to pay 100$ for cool skins lets unbox some stuff. 50$ later you got 20 blue skins and 3 purples and you want to die. Comp is a joke. Because the only good game mode (comp) is full of try hards that want to make your life miserable. I would kill myself in game but but if you do that 3 times you get banned for a week. Here is the lineup:

Overall I'd rate this game 11/10 its a masterpiece. Buy this game because you're bored of playing arma and you don't wanna sign up for gay ass EA Origin to play battlefield.

So I bought this game after refunding another, and was thinking "why the hell not i love space shooters." But this game is a lot more. It has fun, fast paced dogfights, but also an element of exploration and adventure. I didn't know how to get missions at first so I'd just run around and pirate things which was super fun, but then i got missions so i could redeem myself and be the good guy for a while. Then I decided to jump to as many stars as i could to explore. 13 hours later I've just scratched the surface of this game and I'm ready for some more epic fights, pirating, and sector conflicts.

Pros:
-Fun flight mechanics
-Accurate physics
-Do whatever the hell i want to
-Can be a Pirate
-In-game economy
-no pay to win aspect
Cons:
-No real story element to quests (I'd love to see this added)
-Flight controls hard to get used to at first

Overall 9/10 fun game, could have a story then I'd give at least 12/10
