Doby Digital legutóbbi értékelései

I initially got this game since it was free, and because I was eager to try out more games which make use of Apple's Metal API, and boy was I not ready for the disturbing yet somehow satisfactory adventure awaiting me.

This game takes you inside the mind of a talented painter, who struggles to stay sane as he desperately tries to finish his magnum opus. You walk as you watch his destructive creativity slowly consumeS his mind, as his once beautiful house becomes a never-ending labyrinth, as his family and friends fade away and his love becomes his worst nightmare.

The game does toy a lot with jump scares, but it is done in a quite satisfying way, and the more you think you understand how to play the game, you realize the game is actually playing with you. There are also a few puzzles to solve from time to time, some of them pretty straightforward, while others are beautifully mysterious, some make you think the developers knew exactly how would you try to solve them, and added clever twists to confuse you further.

This is probably not a game for everyone, for those used to playing games where the developers just shout at you what the game is all about. This is a game where you have figure out yourself what it is actually about, and most importantly, don't look back ;)
