Like the original, it's a fun and tense companion piece to RE2. Also like the original, it's shorter compared to RE2. If you've played the original PS1 games, then there's a few fun easter eggs and remixes of the story to look for. Would have really liked to have seen the branching paths from the original return, but I did appreciate the expanded role that Carlos played as a consolation.

Can't wait to buy this game on every new platform every four years for the rest of my life.

Very fun adventure game with great characters. The voice acting can be rough occasionally, but it's optional.

Guacamelee! is joy to play especially if you enjoy "Metroidvania" 2D sidescrolling exploration games. If you're like me and are bummed out that Nintendo has let Metroid collect dust for the last four years, Guacamelee! is a fun, colorful respite. Plus, there are piledrivers. Lots of piledrivers!
