Early Access Review
I saw someone describe this game as if Stardew, Mechwarrior and Astroneer had a baby. They aren’t wrong, that’s a great assessment (despite being too many parents).

It combines the farming aspect of Stardew, with the exploration and base building of Astroneer, and the traversal of a Mech based game. You can customize and colorise your mech, albeit at time of review there is only one chassis shape (not sure of the tech term) for the mech.

The mech is a nice touch, and gives you a whole new level of perspective. For example, there are native birds that are taller than the player character, but the mech towers over them by a significant amount.

I did feel that the inventory system was a little punishing, as I was overburdened a lot early, thou I will accept that may have been due to how I play more than a fault on the games part.

I highly recommend this game, tempting to try and talk my son into playing it with me.

If you like the Game Boy/Advance era Pokemon games, this is a great alternative, with several interesting quality of life improvements, variable difficulty, and enough meatiness to tide you over from value standpoint.

The only gripe i had with the game personally, is the story, whilst long enough, does end abruptly. I expected it to run a little longer, but I still rate the game, and will play more again.

A lovely little platformer, with a massive heart, and maybe even more references to Tv/pop culture... Does get tricky, but will be playing more than once...

A potentially frantic game at times, but feels good to pull off a close one or amble through a day or two. The music is very chilled. lots of fun, quite enjoyable.

Not sure what you'd call this kind of game, but it evokes an old school feel & offers some challenge, but its beatable.

Slightly buggy, but very rarely of note.

If you like Puzzle quest, And you like Marvel branded Superheroes, give it a shot. Decent game, long tail if it hooks you...

Well, not a big fan of these types of games. It was... entertaining(?) for at least 40 minutes. At least I think I was entertained.

I'm recommending on the fact its at least a free half hour of entertainment... If it keeps you going, very kooky.

Lot of the choices didn't seem like the answer I wanted to give, or in half the cases that even made sense.

Don't think i'me the exact target audience for this game...

Glad it was free. would have been disappointed paying for that experience.

4/10

I would recommend this game simply on its approach to storytelling.

As an FPS, it's ok. It doesn't do anything revolutionary, has the "Red Dead" style focus system & a few duels thrown in for good measure, which works well with the setting.

The story is set up in a manner where main character is infamous, and is retelling his story to a group of locals in a saloon. He sometimes has to fill them in on how certain events played out, as the game plays cleverly with the idea of the legend Vs the reality.

I also love the 'nuggets of truth', which are a set of collectables with (I assume) real facts and stories about the people & life in the old west.

Thusfar in, i'd hardly call the story itself award winning, but the method in which its told means I cant wait for my next venture in the old west.
