Fast-paced, action-packed, multiplayer, movement shooter.

Something that's pretty hard to find nowadays, we had titanfall, csgo, and TF2, movement shooters aren't as relevant in the current scene but Apex is somehow keeping it alive.

It's basically titanfall without titans, still a hell of a lot of fun. Gunplay isn't as precise as csgo, but the pacing allows for some other kind of advanced mechanics, being good at movement is arguably more important here.

When BR gets a little tiring and stale, there's the Arena mode, much more consistently paced, fair, 3on3 fights on better maps.

The fact that it has linux support makes it at least 3x better than games that don't have linux support. Because we're all secretly playing on linux. When developers see a lot of windows players, they're actually using proton or lutris on linux.

Heck most game servers run on linux. LINUX IS EVERYTHING!

But seriously, this is a really fun tactical shooter with lots of depth, a great alternative to sandstorm if you can't run the sequel on your hardware. It still has an active dedicated community, and since almost everyone is dedicated to this game instead of moving to the sequel, you mostly see friendly people who don't mind taking the game a bit serious but without the toxic part.

And it still looks beautiful for 2020.

Very simple premise here, fun and simple gameplay, unique visuals, and an outstanding collection of music!
This game offers a lot of fun for the price, it can be quite challenging, but also very noob friendly at the same time. And because it's so cheap, you can have spare change to spend on the same game for your phone!

Seriously, this game runs on anything, even better on linux! If you're looking for an alternative to osu! for more casual time wasting, this game is for you.

A unique take on the pinball formula. Very simple at first, but has enough depth to keep you coming for more. One of the best games on steam to play with a controller, think of it like Rocket League, but you're the ball, and the maps are complex and better. If you have some friends to play with, this game is pretty good for couch gaming sessions.

CS:GO Review
Literally the most competitive fps game in the world, you can ignore the reviews from people with nostalgia who say previous games in the series were better. CS:GO's problems are well known and have received a lot of complaints from the community, but that's mostly because the game is so well studied and analyzed, people just don't bother to complaint about COD's hitregs, or Fortnite's 30-tick servers.

I think CS:GO is the only active game that's played so much that these things matter. Sure it has flaws, but there's little game that has been polished and balanced to the point that CS:GO has been for the last 8 years, and no e-sports formula has been tested and perfected as much as Counter-Strike's core gameplay.
