A special game because of its positivity, cheer, and music.
This is a (mostly) combat-free platform game about a bard that just wants to make everybody happy by singing at them, and save the world in the process.
There's a lot of talking and reading (most of it is optional though), which makes the world and the characters feel very alive and warm. It helps that the writing is excellent: It's full of personality and humour, and I only noticed two or three typos in my entire playthrough, which is impressive for a game with this much text.
Some puzzle mechanics do overstay their welcome a bit, but that's the only criticism I can think of.
I had a smile on my face for most of the game, since the world and especially all the characters are so fleshed-out.
In short, this game is a joy to play, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.

Early Access Review
A fun and surprisingly tense puzzle game.
Your goal is to lay rail tracks and send trains to make sure the required goods get produced and delivered within the time limit, with some specific other constraints depending on the level.
While the earlier levels are relaxing and usually fairly easy, the last levels require planning and thinking ahead (and in my case also a couple of tries).
And with the recently added leaderboards, it's fun to go back to finished levels and see if you can improve your results.
Even in Early Access there's quite a few levels, and with a level editor and Steam Workshop support, there's plenty of variety.
In short, it's a good puzzle game that's just challenging enough to me, with charming graphics and relaxing music, and plenty of replayability.

A lovely game that improves your typing skill too.
The story can be a bit vague, but that means it's open to your own interpretation. The world looks great, though it can be a bit confusing to navigate at times, and I accidentally opened up an area the game expected me to access later. The slow addition of powers is fun too, in a bit of a Metroidvania style.
Overall, it's fun to play, not too difficult, and not overly long either.

You would think that for a physics-focussed platformer, the physics would be better.
Or at least slightly more forgiving.
I've only played a half hour of the game, but even in that short time the game got too fiddly for me.
You have to carry your brother, but you can't put him down everywhere. In fact, you seem to be able to put him down almost nowhere. Which is annoying, since you often need to to make a jump. So you spend a while just trying every little horizontal spot of flooring just to find the one place he will sit down on, which is needlessly frustrating.
But the straw was when I had to push a barrel into a pool of water and jump on it. I know it could also be because I'm bad at games, but just jumping down onto the barrel made the character slide off it into the water for no reason, which is an insta-death for some reason.
And finally, but this may be a matter of taste, jumping is far too slow. It makes the whole game feel a bit sluggish. Then again, that could be deliberate design, but it doesn't make playing the game more fun.

So in short, too frustrating and fiddly to be fun, for me.

I keep coming back to this game.
While the screenshots may make it look pretty simple, there's plenty of skill needed. Enemy patterns are relatively easy to learn (if hard to defeat sometimes), but weapon drops are random and the levels are procedurally generated, so there's always a need for some improvisation. So while you do learn how the game works, it never becomes rote. I would suggest you pick Crystal when you first start playing, since she has the best defenses and the highest health.

Also I unlocked a golden wrench as a starter weapon for Crystal and whacking everything with that is fun every time (though not super effective in the later levels).

While the game doesn't have any flashy explosions or extensive gunfights, there's plenty of tension here. You have to hack into various computer systems to complete jobs or advance the (easily ignored) storyline. With the money you make, you can buy better equipment or a faster computer, which you will need to take on harder jobs. The tension comes from the fact that your hacks usually don't go unnoticed, and during your digital break-in there will be an active trace to find out where your computer is and shut it down. But even if you get out in time, there's still a passive trace trying to find you invisibly, so you need to erase any evidence of what you did to throw that off the scent.
Fun if you like somewhat nerdier excitement than "shoot man in face".

A silly, irreverent and funny game. Travel through history with a combination of Tower Defense and Super Monkey Ball gameplay.
Trust me, it makes sense. At least, the gameplay does. The story luckily does not.

A pretty good adventure game.
The voice acting isn't the greatest, and the game only runs in 800x600, but those are the only downsides that stand out for me, and they're not dealbreakers.
It's not very long. I completed my first playthrough in a bit over 4 hours, and I didn't rush through at all. I don't think this is a bad thing, it keeps the story focussed, without too many sidequests and distractions.
There's also plenty of hidden goodies to find, but if you're a good adventure player you'll already click on everything, so it shouldn't be too hard to find at least most of them. Still, it's a nice addition.
Don't be put off by the dogs. A few puns aside, they could as easily have used humans.

Overall, if you even slightly like adventure games, it's worth the price.

While I don't normally like very hard games, I come back to this game from time to time. When playing, you die a lot, but it's almost always your own fault, so it never feels cheap. Even though it can get frustrating when playing for long stretches, finally completing a level feels pretty good. Especially because you get a replay of all your failures.
Oh, and don't pay any attention to the gamepad-pushing of the loading screen. I use my keyboard, and I'm doing fine.

A fun little indie game. You play as a wizard in training, and you upgrade and learn new spells during the course of the game. While you start out pretty weak, soon you'll be devastating enemies left and right.
The terrain is fully deformable, so the power of your magic attacks really shows.
While the later levels get a lot harder, the game is still fun. Especially if you like a challenge.
A good purchase, especially when it's on sale.
