Pretty cool game, definitely worth the price, though it has some issues, the bugs are expected, sometimes weird stuff can happen but it's pretty rare (like falling off the map, which doesn't kill you and you can easily restart the map, which makes it less of a problem, specially since levels aren't that long), others are design "flaws" or at least questionable decisions, enemies spawning behind you at certain parts (mostly after picking up a key or activating a switch), the enemies can blend together making it hard to actually aim to the most annoying ones (hitscan/ very tanky) while others act as a one sided wall (the guys with a shield) which forces you to use a explosive or run and wait for them to come at you more spread out, which may be considered as a "cool gimmick" but happens way too often, ending up as more of a way to make the game feel harder than it actually is, lastly, either using the weapon wheel or numbers, sometimes your weapon won't work for a few frames (maybe a second) making it feel a bit sluggish, also some melee animations may break making them look like you can attack again when you actually cant, these are extremely small issues compared to the things this game does well, overall an amazing game at a great price, but I can totally see someone getting annoyed by these issues I mentioned.

I love this game, however, it does have some major issues, mainly regarding it's balance, it's either super easy or almost impossible, the item variety is pretty great... but more often than not you'll only really "need" three of those to beat the game, as it's more knowledge/skill based than items/stats based, it takes time to get used to it's quirks, but all in all I think it's a fantastically unique game that accomplishes hooking you into wanting to try again and again... The final boss can feel extremely cheap and BS, however, as long as you keep your distance and learn how to perfect block, you'll be fine, as most enemies (bosses included) won't try to attack you unless you're fairly close to them, I'd like to say more, but I think it's better if you experience it by yourself, it's worth it (though frustrating af if you're just getting started)

This game absolutely sucks as of now, imagine smash, but slow, 30 frames input delay, worse netcode, rage quitters (pluggers), predatory prices, 80% of the characters rely on one or two gimmicks which you just need to spam until the other person quits/dies, the characters that suck are pretty much unplayable, etc, just playing this rn because of the "free pass" for anyone who tried it on the beta, hopefully they fix the game (change almost everything lol), because if it stays like this, it'll die VERY fast

Update: They've actually been fixing this game and MANY of it's issues have been resolved, a lot of bugged missions got fixed, the xp issue was definitely solved, now it feels like you have an actual reason to play the game for longer than 20 mins a day, now even rifts gives xp (now we just need to be able to have offline coop in it, which feels like a missing feature that should 100% be there), it's still pretty grindy but now you at the very least have options, which is great for whoever hates playing pvp, which is the only thing that's still lacking, character balance remained the same, last patch changed close to nothing in this regard, the delay is still there and the trolls/pluggers are still everywhere, however the random disconnections are seemingly gone, fighter currency is still VERY scarce, and you can't play the characters on offline (which sucks for offline tournaments), which also makes me wonder if there's any reason to play offline pvp, as far as I know it still doesn't give xp and you can't complete missions there, so why are characters locked there?. I still can't recommend this game since the major gameplay issues are still there and are the main reason why people left in the first place, they're actually trying to make it work, and hopefully the next update fixes enough stuff to change my review to "Recommended", so far it seems they're heading in the right direction, but it's not quite there yet

EXTREMELY BASED GAME, At first thought "Oh it's just a VS clone with cooler visuals", but oh boy was I wrong, this game answers to every time I wondered about "what would happen if someone added the things I'd like to see in this kind of games", and I'm amazed at how well it works, it feels challenging yet balanced, and just because of the "control" settings you can change said difficulty and making sure you feel comfortable playing, having the different options: using keys to aim and attack, use the mouse to aim and attack, turn on auto attack and aim by yourself, turn on both auto aim and auto attack to focus only on movement, or full mouse mode, the different enemies aren't just "reskins" of the same enemy but with more hp damage or speed, but every enemy has it's own gimmick, which I won't spoil "how" because I think it's better if you experience it on your own, supposedly it's still an Early Access game, but it DOESN'T feel like it, the combat mechanics, the item variety, the upgrades and rpg elements are fleshed out and it feels amazing to unlock anything, the ONLY downside I'd give to this game is that is most likely the most addictive game of this subgenre, the way skill, knowledge, experience, unlocks, items, upgrades and builds work together is amazing and make you feel like "you haven't got enough yet", the single fact that this game made me say "♥♥♥♥ it, I'll leave a long review" after barely scratching the surface SHOULD be enough to say I 10000% recommend this game, if you're already here, BUY IT NOW

Edit: Now that the game is finally out of Early Access... somehow it is better now, MORE of everything, the quest system is a great addition, not only I'd recommend buying it, I recommend buying the supporter DLC, totally worth it

Remember this game catching my eye at release, but decided "I'll buy it later", well, today was that later, and although I haven't played that much yet (since I'm waiting for my new joystick to be delivered so I can enjoy better this and other games), the game already impressed me with the attention to detail, the mechanics and the things that may appear later on

Absolutely fantastic game, matchmaking is the only objective issue with this game, however Crossplay update might fix it completely, so.. yeah. GREAT GAME

Wanted to like the "previous" game, but none of the characters managed to get my interest, this version ONLY ADDS 1 NEW CHARACTER (and some QOL changes), however, that character (cockroach girl) is very fun, and has some moves that remind me of other characters I love, now I can actually enjoy this franchise!

GREAT GREAT GREAT GAME, but god there's a fight every 30 minutes of text in each story mode lmao
