After playing only 15 minutes i already felt this is going to be another masterpiece.

Some developers just work on a different level.

I really liked the deck building and it was a shame that i spend only very little of actual game time with this element. So if you aim for that experience be warned that it is only a small percent of the game.

The potion brewing is really good, actually the best implementation i saw in any game i have played. You are really gettign into the role of a potion brewer, learn what ingredients work well. Aquiring new ingredients feels amazing as it opens up new opportunities for better brews.

The characters are all very well written and their stories are interesting. The voice acting is amazing which made this portion of the game actual very enjoyable. I usually don´t like these aspects in games but here i found it very endearing.

The general pacing of the game is pretty good, you are getting introduced to new mechanics well into the 2nd half of the game which keeps things fresh.

Overall great experience that will roughly take 40 hours to finish.

This game is extremely mid.

On its upside it is huge. I was constantly thinking how huge the map is and that it keeps going and going with new areas.
You also have a lot of routes, you usually always have 4+ directions you can continue exploring.

The main issue is everything inbetween:

The combat is ultra simpel. Enemies do not really evolve much. I do the same dance from hour 1-27, Enemies always take the same amount of hits since their hp scales pretty linear with your damage. Enemies are just small speedbumps.

Bosses are pretty much the same, almost every boss i could just wail on and heal quicker than he damages me. 17 hours in was the first boss i wasn´t able to first try.
Note this is all on the higher of two difficulties. Apparently it can even get easier.

The talent system is braindead since you are limited by your level how many points you can put into it and since you find points by exploring i always had more points than i was able to allocate.

There are secondary weapons that use mana but they felt pretty useless since combat is a non factor anyway so that is a whole design arm you can disregard.

The equipment and consumable system is simple but good. There are interesting gearpieces you find. It is not exceptional but well implemented.

I was really fascinated while playing how much the quality of different aspects of the game diverged. Super strange design.

So in all: If you want a game that is focused on exploration it is a good game. If you are interested in cool battles i´d give this game a pass.

Be warned the game is rather short. ~3 hours. But very high quality and refreshing. Not repeating the same thing over and over.

I would compare it to a night at the cinema where you pay ~12€ to watch a movie for 2 hours. Or 50 € for an escape room.

Here you pay 12 € for a really nice 3 hour experience.

Yeah this is great value; i now got 20 hours in and touched less than 1/4 of the games

games are all pretty cool and have some interesting ideas; they usually don´t overstay their welcome with playtime between 1-4 hours so far

I don´t know but this does not really work for me.

It has a lot of interesting ideas but every one just feels "ok".
None of the aspects of the game really feel enjoyable to me.
You have your own character that rides around and kites enemies.
You can build towers on predetermined positions.
You are balancing economy and defense.
But none of that really feels fun.

Very cool little idle / incremental game.

Takes rougly 2-3 hours to complete.

Very much enjoyed it.
