This is among the best picross games on Steam. Solid puzzles, a fun art style and a general good time.

If you missed out on the original, it's a very simple concept: press two buttons (I use the left and right bumpers) to beat up the swarm of enemies when they reach your attack range (indicated by bars in the ground). The animation and the sheer responsiveness makes every kill oh-so-satisfying. This game builds on this groundwork, increasing the pace, layering new abilities and improving nearly every aspect of the game. If you want more One Finger Death Punch, this absolutely delivers.

I really like this game. Full disclosure: I'm a scrub, and I've been playing entirely in the Gamer handling style, which does a pretty good job of emulating the arcade-ish handling style of last gen's Codies racing games.

The game is centred around rallying, and its random track generator which holds up surprisingly well. I am getting to the point where I am starting to recognise certain corners getting repeated, but ultimately it's definitely the best random track generator I've seen in a racing game.

Elsewhere, Rallycross is an excellent fun, and has been where I've spent most of my non-rallying time. Landrush I'm less fussed on, largely due to the less interesting tracks. The team management aspects, while fairly basic, is a welcome addition.

Disappointments: the Joyride modes are lacking in content, with a handful of tracks for both of its main modes. Freeroam is fun to blast around for five minutes. Additionally, if you're the sort of person that wants a wide variety of motorsports in their racing games, you'll probably be better off tracking down a copy of Dirt 3.

Ultimately, if you're interested in an arcade-ish rally game, this one's for you.
