I've been playing CS since 2016, and after all these years, the cheating problem is still out of control. I get why Valve doesn’t want a kernel-level anti-cheat, but at least give us the option for one. Let us choose a Premier mode or client with a kernel-level AC and see if it impacts performance, not like the new engine didn't do that already. Right now, Premier is flooded with cheaters, and the only alternative... Faceit feels worse than ever thanks to sub-tick. On top of that, Faceit itself has declined over the years. It’s sad that this is supposed to be the go-to platform for "professional" play when laggy servers and input delay ruin the experience.

CS is at its best when every fight is a fair fight, where skill and strategy decide the outcome, not some kid abusing his config on a burner account from Eldorado. VAC Live isn’t enough. At first, AI-driven anti-cheat sounded promising, but without a kernel-level system assisting it, it’s just not going to work. Valve needs to step up and fix this, because right now, it’s killing the game.
