Simply put, Overwatch 2 is a perversion of it's predecessor.

I still love the idea of this game, and honestly, if I played a match right now, I might have fun. Despite this, I can't agree witht eh choices the developers have made since it became Overwatch 2. It's no secret that the "2" isn't earned and, with PvE being gone, is basically nothing more than marketing now.

Out of everything, what I can't stand is how this game treats new players. People who download Overwatch 2 for the first time only start with less than half of the roster, 13 heroes out of (currently) 35. The heroes from the previous game don't take long to get, but new heroes? That's where the grind comes in. If you just like casual play like I do, you probably aren't the kind of person who likes to grind, but if you want all of the heroes, you have no choice. Even then, say a hero comes out in the current gameplay season. In that case, you either buy the Battle Pass or wait until next season and grind.

It just hurts to see something I once really enjoyed become something so crippled. I simply don't agree with locking key elements to the game behind paywalls. Sure, the original Overwatch had loot boxes, and as much as those can suck, everything you got from them changed nothing in the gameplay and only provided some cosmetic options. Now, in a game about team play and composition, a player might not be able to choose the best hero for a situation because they don't want to/can't pay or grind for them.

I remember when Overwatch was about togetherness and teamwork. I never thought we'd have to pay to keep those things.

vrchat is now malware

edit:
they confirmed they will not roll back the update

this may not be the end of vrcaht as a whole but it will likely collapse a large percentage of the userbase

This is a fun game with a decently engaging story and an enjoyable multiplayer experience.

To elaborate a little, the story itself, while not the strongest element, was interesting, especially since you would constantly switch between two opposing forces and see how certain actions carried out by one side were then handled by the other. The missions heavily reminded me of those in Rogue Squadron, and with me having played those games a lot in my childhood, it was quite fun to see a more modern take on these sorts of formulas. In short, the story won't blow you away by any means, but the missions themselves will be enjoyable and will provide an introduction to a lot of the game's core elements and additional features.

The multiplayer is fun, though I do agree with what many people are saying about it being quite repetitive. While I do feel this way, I find myself still having fun in each match, whether it be dogfight or fleet battles. The biggest thing for me when it comes to multiplayer is how people can develop their own play styles, as there are many ways to approach your ship's loadout and how you would anticipate certain situations. Overall, it is enjoyable and can allow for players to choose equipment that aid in developing their own styles, however the experience doesn't change very much from match-to-match.

While I can solemnly say I enjoy this game and that I can recommend it to people who enjoy Star Wars and space battles, there is certainly room for improvement in this game. I think the addition of new game modes would be an excellent place to start, since the multiplayer experience is relegated to either dogfighting, fleet battles, or a custom match. It would be fun to have more options to choose from for online play, since the latter three being the only options just adds to the repetitive nature of the multiplayer gameplay. It would be a stretch, but for example, seeing a sort of traditional conquest game mode on the surface of a planet with landing depots and other things would be interesting.

One final note I would like to add deals with the input method. Everyone says that this game is unplayable without a flight stick, to which I disagree. Playing on keyboard and mouse is possible, but not something I recommend; rather you should try a traditional controller if you don't want to use a flight stick. I recently got a HOTAS, and while I do really enjoy it and prefer it after breaking it in a bit, I was using a controller beforehand. In my opinion, if you don't want to buy a HOTAS but you have a standard controller, preferably one you are already used to, then that should provide you with a comfortable experience.

All in all, is Star Wars: Squadrons worth it? Well, if you enjoy Star Wars and want a fun game for space battles, I'd say give this a shot. Sure, the story may be relatively short and the multiplayer may not have much right now, but there is much fun to be had here. It is also worth noting that they are still adding new things to this game quite regularly, so while there are some concerns with the amount of activities in the game, I am confident that new things will come to Squadrons over time. If you are doubtful of the experience, the least I can assure you of is that if you've played and enjoyed any of the Rogue Squadron or X-Wing/TIE Fighter titles, you will certainly enjoy this game.

I want to start off by saying that Rocket League is a fun game, and although challenging with its steep learning curve, can be a very epic experience as a whole. I haven't played for long, though me and my friend being new players, we had come into contact with a pretty big problem: the matchmaking. This game is very foreign to us altogether, so we would hope to run into players in a similar situation as us who had just bought the game and began playing to accustom themselves to the concept, pace, and overall feel of the game. However, instead of a fair challenge, we were faced with players who have clearly been playing for leagues longer than we have, and we stood no chance. This happend about five or six times until we gave up out of frustration and closed the game. We feel we haven't given it a fair amount of time playing, so we urge you to take this with a grain of salt. I recommend this game for its great gameplay, astounding visuals, novel concept, and overall execution, however I do not recommend it for its flaws with its matchmaking system (at least for casual). Despite the abunance of pros for this game, I feel that the matchmaking issues cancel all of them out simply because you'll never be able to learn or enjoy them without either practicing on your own or entering games with those whom had just purchased the game as well. Part of me feels as though we just got an unlucky break, so that's why I still tilt in favor or overall recommendation for now. I love the idea of this game, though I want to be able to play it in an environment where everyone else I'm playing with is close to, if not just as, experienced as me. That way, learning becomes easier and you don't get pelted with overkilling failure as a result of faultless inexperience.

in this game you obviously have to wear your supermarket while robbing your dishwasher (it's not your dishwasher you just walked into menards and proclaimed it as yours against the worker's attempts to detain you) (the worker is now terminally ill from that decorative toaster you just smashed into his right big toe)
my copy of cornflake was broken by my teacher because she hates your use of the word pop tart so yeah fix that and i can win at boggle
