It's the game Battlefield 2042 should've been.

Very mind numbing & addictive. Played it for almost 6 hour straight. Didn't want to stop, but needed to go to bed. HaHa

Have been playing this game on Nintendo Switch for a grip. Absolutely love it & it's even better on PC. Especially with the support from the mod community. Highly recommend this title.

Ahh man. This brings back some really good memories from my childhood. Many hours spent playing this game, as well as Finest Hour, which isn't on here & CoD III.

It is still in early access, so I can overlook the few bugs I've seen. Aside from that, It's a really fun game. I don't really care for zeds just spawning out of flipping nowhere. I have walked into an open area, with no zeds around & then all of a sudden, I get hit from behind. Turn around & there's a zed, kill that one for 2 more to show up out of nowhere attacking me. Kill them & more just spawn out of the ether. Very annoying. I'd turn off spawning, but then it's just not as fun. It has some quirks, but overall it's a really fun game & I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good looter shooter.

If you're still waiting for Half-Life 3, stop... It's not coming. HL2 Ep. 1 & 2, are as close to HL3 as you're gonna get. Throw Lost Coast in there as well.

If you're tired of the fast paced, shoot em up, arena style shooters like Call of Duty, then give this game a try. If Arma & Battlefield had a love child, this would be it. You get the big maps, there are air vehicles & I think plans for ground vehicles in the future. One well placed shot can kill your enemy instantly. Weapon damage is as close to realistic as possible in a game. This is as close as you'll ever get to actually fighting in the Vietnam War, unless of course you were actually there, in which case, thank you for your service.

Word of advice though. This game has a pretty big learning curve, for new players. You CAN NOT play this game like CoD or Battlefield. YOU WILL DIE! A lot... Give it time though. As you learn the maps, learn to control the realistic recoil of the weapons & learn to spot enemies, you will have a blast! My best advice is to play the game as if you were really there & you don't want to die.

Also, friendly fire is active... So make sure to rememeber what team you're on & don't shoot the guys that look like you.

To summarize, if you're looking for a more realistic war game to play, look no further than Rising Storm 2: Vietnam.

This game is really fun & very addictive. That being said, DO NOT BUY THIS VERSION! Buy the Year-One edition. For whatever reason, the developers said screw this version & decided to somewhat remake the game with improved graphics & bug fixes, instead of just patching this version, they decided to make people pay for the game again to get the upgrades. Kind of BS, but if you don't already own the game, then go buy the Year-One edition & enjoy. It really is a good game & I am fully enjoying it. It's just the Developers & Publisher are a-holes...

The game is pretty much you in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. You run around gathering resources for your base camp where there are other survivors. You can set up other safe zones & find better base camps. You can upgrade your base camps & there are always missions to do to go help someone, go look for this, go do that, etc. It's not a very in depth game, but what it does do, it does well enough to keep you hooked.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube you can watch to get an idea of what the game is like if you're really on the fence about it.

I have no idea why I keep seeing so many negative reviews... This game is awesome in my opinion. It's a very niche game. It's really only going to appeal to a certain crowd.

If I had to describe the game quickly in a manner it's understandable, I'd have to say that it's an attempt to make a somewhat more realistic warfare in terms of bullet damage & kill times, set in WWII. Now for the lenghty summary... In terms of all out chaos & full on action packed battles like Battlefield, you're not really going to find that here. This game plays out more like real life would. You have a few guys hiding behind cover taking pop shots at each other until the stupiest one stands out in the open to long & finally gets picked off. Headshots are always 1 shot kills & depending on the gun & type of ammo you're using, 2-3 body shots & you're down. SMG's & pistols require more bullets obviously, but you get the general idea.

That being said, there ARE action packed moments! You'll often have a little skirmish with 5-10 people involved fighting over the objective, it's just unlike Battlefield where it takes a while to down your enemy & you can move around stupid fast, this game you die quick & you move slow, so the little battles don't last as long & aren't AS crazy as they are in Battlefield & other games.

Yes it's Free to Play. No it's not technically pay to win, however... You can pay to get ahead. To be perfectly honest, you start out with probably the best guns in the game right off the bat! Team USA gets the M1 Garand default, Russia gets the SVT-40 & Germany gets the Gewer-43. These Semi-Auto Rifles are the most accurate & hardest hitting aside from the Sniper Rifle. Throw some Match Grade ammo in them & learn the recoil patterns & you can drop people really quick! OR, you can fork up some real money to buy the games premium currency & unlock guns & vehicles early. You can unlock the weapons later in the game & purchase them using the games freely provided currency, but as F2P games goes... Everything is really expensive & it takes FOREVER to stockpile the money. SO it is kind of pay to win in that regards, it's just that none of the other guns really out perform the default guns all around. The excel in one area or the other.

I highly recommend this game. It's fun, it's a super change of pace if you're getting burnt out on the super soldier BS from modern shooters, it actually takes SKILL to be good at. You "CAN" camp a corner, but you're going to get very few kills that way, so it's not advised & hardly anyone ever does it. Give it a try. It's free so you have nothing to lose. Who knows, you might like it.
