Like Factorio but easier to play with new players and much, much faster games. Love it. Good progression with the tech tree and some really nice quality of life features which make setting up new factories enjoyable, which is particularly important due to how many levels there are in the campaign. A joy to play with friends or singleplayer!

This game is a brilliant sequel to Democracy 3.

So far, I have played about 20-30 hours of the non-Steam version before it came to Steam and I must say I'm impressed. Tons more policies, tons more statistics, loads more graphs to help the user analyse their voter groups.

Whilst there's still work to be done, the most significant change from previous games are the new party- and parliament-related features. It's now possible to form coalition governments with other parties if you don't get another votes, which is a very interesting mechanic (although it's probably most suited to the more realistic and moderate player, as I like to play with more extreme scenarios with high difficulty and radical policy). The other addition is electioneering, which allows you to make manifesto commitments as well as political speeches. I really enjoy this as the previous games lacked politicking one's way out of political failure. Whether or not we like it (we don't), the real world isn't a perfectly rational and accountable democracy, so these additional electioneering features add a lovely additional layer to the game.

The UI&X have had major improvements, not least because there is a dark mode! But more generally, the design is more appealing and there are some very pleasing animations. There is also now a back button between policy/statistic windows, which is an absolute life-saver when it comes to navigating one's way through various events, stats, and voter groups.

Overall this is an absolutely brilliant game, and there's nothing else that's quite like it. It's an amazing theory to figure out different ways to solve problems in certain countries, and I've always found both the 3rd and this 4th game to be very rewarding in that aspect. The devs are some of the best around and are highly receptive to user feedback.

The only suggestions I have without delving into the detail of balancing (which is in a remarkably good state considering the game's early version) is to do with policy navigation. With so many icons on the main page I often find it difficult to search for policies. I wish there was a search function which would highlight the icons matching the search string. This isn't really necessary for the new policies window as they are in ordered by (1) whether or not one has enough political capital to implement the policy followed by (2) alphabetical order.

Also, I'm playing on Linux with the latest version of Proton, which works absolutely perfectly.

This is a beautiful game with enjoyable driving (handling and combat). It has relatively good progression in terms of upping stats and new skills but the hand-to-hand combat does get very repetitive considering how much it is needed. Nonetheless, this is a brilliant game in terms of looks and general gameplay, with an enjoyable story, a great map full of interesting structures as well as perfecting the Mad Max vibe.

Controller, mouse, or keyboard. A variety of modes, including mods which add new modes, allowing you to play any song at anywhere from the ultra-competitive to the chillest. Highly recommend to anyone interested in rhythm games. Great community. Loved the first game, never thought I could like the second but with the right skin it is far superior (for me).

Can't play any songs. Thoroghly enjoyed the first game and I thought I'd give the demo and go. It worked fine a year ago, but doesn't work at all now because I can't play any songs. Same issue as everyone else.

Perhaps I'll buy it and give it a shot and refund if I don't like it.

Do you like management games? But do you think that management games are too hard? Factorio is a good "in-between" game. Very easy to learn. You will learn the basics of the game within a couple hours. As well as this, the game is very intuitive, making it very easy to spot issues or improve your factory. However, this doesn't mean that you'll get bored once you've fininshed your first "mini-factory". Oh no. You are so wrong.
While this game might be easy to learn, it will take thousands of hours to master. In fact, you cannot master this game. Everything you build is unique to you. Everyone has their own way to do a specific task. And that is the beauty of it. While incredibly time-consuming (you *will* get very heavily addicted), you can design your factory exactly as you want it. There are a countless number of ways to approach some of the most simple of tasks. Because of this, you will find yourself constantly perfecting your base; constantly finding new and wonderful ways to lay out train stations; constantly discovering new ways to make your already efficient production line even more efficient and more conpact.
To top this all of, I'd just like to mention that the devs are fantastic. They are very active on the Factorio subreddit and do a very good job at banging out experiment update after experiment update. While we are still in the experimental phase of the latest major update, I can honestly say that I, only once, experienced a game-breaking bug. And it was solved within hours. Brilliant devs making a brilliant game. What more could you ask for.
