Storyline, lore and depth is heavy in this game. When you first lay eyes on it, it might be an eye sore, but trust me. Start to sink your fangs into the first few victims and get lost into the twisted personal horror game that lets you cling to your humanity while witnessing unGodly, unspeakable things... or let loose and become the monster you always wanted to be all the while walking the thin red line of not breaking too many Kindred laws.

The RPG element comes from the table top version of the game, point in intel, point in strength, point in charisma or melee, the concept is easy to use for beginners and easy to follow if you hover your mouse over any stat. It will tell you exactly what other stats benifit from your choices. Lacking in Hacking? Lacking in lock picking? (Dues Ex - like skills) Just add points to whatever helps you make you better at what you like doing.

Game play: When you start you pick a clan, each clan has their own strengths, their own weaknesses. Adding to the replay value of the game. Brawl your way, punk your enemies into submission, lie or whisper sweet nothings into the humans' ears to manipulate them into giving you what you want. Stealth your way through the city via sewers and back alleys, stick to the shadows - or walk among the humans and other vampires as their superior. It's all up to you.

Lots of side quests and though the world is not too vast (hence the game was made in 2004) you will have plenty to do with the portions of the city you have access to. Some you will need to gain specific skills, others you will get to as the game progresses.

The music is awesome. 90's and early 2000's gothic/rock, dark metal music. Will be looking for the OST of this game.

Voice acting, Jeanette! And many others. Even a popular actor from the TV show Futurama voice acted in this. Jeanette's voice actress did a role for Harley Quinn as well. Love her work! One of the strongest parts of this game is conversing with the NPCs. Some are funny, others will make you annoyeed, but none will be boring. Certain powers and certain social skills will effect how NPCs interact and react to you. Some you will need to threaten, if your threat is high enough, some you will have to persuade, others you have to flirt with, and some (if you pick clan Malkavian) you can just talk crazy talk with them. All adding to the depth of each NPC and some making you wish you could talk with them all night long.

The game is a Horror game, and some jump scares, but the feeling I get from playing the game... CREEP FEST. The atmosphere of the game when you get into a haunted house, or exploring a mad house, or going into a den of those trying to hurry the end of the world... and the sewers! It will make you think twice about opening a manhole, in real life and in game.

Over all this game is a CULT CLASSIC. If anything, get it and play it so when you nerd it out with your friends online or in person, you can give them lots of bloody tales of your own experiances in Vampire - Bloodlines.
