i intended on writing a long positive review for this but I can't seem to find the words

this game's movement and controls are broken to ♥♥♥♥ in the best possible way. 10/10 not many other games are nearly as fun to me as this

the story before it was patched was far more interesting, in my opinion, but w/e you can't have everything

easily the best 3d platformer i've played in terms of raw mechanics. i just wish i could recommend it to anyone i know in real life because of the pants thing

the ending sequence was so bad that i quit out to go back and do 100% collection instead. i enjoyed finishing the 100% and couldn't get back into the ending sequence, so I'll consider that a W. i actually almost ragequit and posted a negative review instead of going back, but now i'm glad i did (and also glad i wasn't able to go back to that sequence and sour the game for myself again at the very end)

this game does have some problems with hinting to you that you can do certain things (mainly stuff like being able to hit world objects and power doors) but overall it's quite good

although there are quite a few bugs, i have all the eggs and all the cards but neither of the achievements for those things, and Luna is now just floating in the middle of the air because I quit in the middle of the ending sequence ?_?

edit: went back and did the ending sequence with the new patch, and feel a bit better about it now that i can do it basically for free with the new ability I got from getting all the eggs. still didn't get my achievements though!

too lazy to write an in depth review, but the amount of strange platforming edge cases I ran into that ended up with me smashing into the floor in frustration has led me to believe that making this kind of game is Really Hard™️

was also not thrilled with the presence of fall damage in this game specifically - when i think about it, the implementation in this game mostly just ended up wasting my time. since I would end up at the nearest checkpoint anyways, i would just have to waste time thinking about reloading soda 24/7. but seeing world 5 lead me to the conclusion that i don't think the idea of fall damage itself is something that i would enjoy in this particular game to begin with.

i really appreciate that people are making games like this at all, and it does scratch an itch that i rarely get to scratch (running around and Collecting Things™️ while solving platforming puzzles and jumping around). but the above things kinda soured me on the overall experience. and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was the level 5 door a cherry on top of me being soured. a sour cherry, if you will.

difficult for me to rate this game. on one hand, I want more of this type of game, but I can't recommend it. i feel like this implementation is getting close to polished enough, but the stuff that isn't polished ended up driving me insane

the game is pretty good, but please for the love of god label the save deletion button more clearly

good. the exploration is kind of whatever but the bosses are awesome

if I had to point to a specific issue, sometimes it's hard to tell bullets apart from the background and the player sprite.
