Coming from someone who did not enjoy the original YIIK, this game is an absolute gem, and 100% is deserving of your time.

The taste of gameplay given by Nameless Psychosis did not disappoint. Hell, maybe it even undersold just how significant this update truly is. Despite my worries, this game far surpassed my expectations, cementing it as an all time favorite for me. I struggle to even call this a "fix" to the original, as that would be downplaying the serious work and passion pumped into this project. Where YIIK struggled, I.V. excels. Narratively, visually, mechanically, you name it.

Even if you dismissed the original YIIK, have never heard anything about it, or have played the original to death, I highly recommend a full playthrough of this game. The new combat system is superb, the narrative's layers are far more accessible, and there are many new layers of the narrative to explore. I look forward to playing through again with a more critical eye as I think there's still more for me uncover and piece together.

Ackk Studios, thank you for revisiting this game. Your passion and grit are beyond commendable, and have resulted in something truly special. It's been a pleasure to follow you on this journey, and I will absolutely keep an eye on anything else you develop.

I cannot recommend this more. YIIK had many issues, but this seems to address nearly all of them. The combat is completely new, and although we've only gotten a taste, I'm excited to see what they do with it. It's fast, snappy, and extremely stylish. I mean holy hell they even made alex less of an ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Seriously, play this game, it's free you have no excuse.

Just mind-boggling decisions going on over at the vrc team. You take away my near clipping plane adjuster, you take away my ability to block crasher avatars, you force me to endure screenspace shaders all for what? "Security"? There's no serverside verification, so people can still send funny packets and now that mods are banned our only protection from that is gone. One can only pray EAC is either filled with holes, an alternative pops up, or someone realizes brutalizing the community is a bad idea.

You can maybe implement some of the more popular features, but the nuanced smaller features like near cliping plane adjuster are likely lost forever and the game will NEVER be the same.

While not anywhere near the level of a project diva main series game, it's a fun spinoff.

There are a lot of weird decisions and it could use some polish (the menu music is deafening compared to the music volume) but for such a bold first step into vr such mistakes are to be expected. The stages look great, miku looks great, and the gameplay is fun once you get the hang of it. It plays somewhat like audioshield, albeit much more controlled. It's a unique experience that was well worth the money, I really hope to see more in the future, especially seeing this is crypton's first game on steam ever.

This game is like playing a frag video, even if it's someone else's. If this alpha was the full game I wouldn't complain.
