Its alright

Receiver 2 is a fun but frustrating game. The way it teaches how to manipulate firearms in a realistic way always makes me happy as someone who loves shooting handguns.

After playing the pre-release of the game, when I first saw the game out for $19.99 I was unsure of it, not knowing how much more stuff had been added. However I found it rather enjoyable to play, and the additions they made to it over the pre-release or beta version of the game were wonderful. Puzzles, dungeons, different zone types, npc quests, an old man you can trap on a one block island by himself. It's all wonderful.

I would very much recommend this game, as other than just play the game, there are challenges like the single island challenge you can do, if you want more difficulty

It was cute. It was fun.

My time with the game:
As you can see my game time is very short, and you may think "Oh he hasnt gotten to the good part. He needs to spend more time in the game before he can make a review!" And ya know what? I admit that I dont have enough time in the game, but my reason is the same reason I dont enjoy WoW. This is a game best played with friends. the MMO Genre is "Multi-Man-Online" but for me, most of the MMOs I play on steam, I am playing an MO "Man-Online". With WoW and Aion its really a "Group Experience"

Controls:
Even though the game controls solidly, its generic MMO controls. Hold RMB to control the camera, LMB can click move if you dont want to use WASD or Arrow Keys and Tab targeting. Now to most, Tab targeting is fine, its fast and simple. But I dont like it even though I play FFXIV. "But FFXIV has Tab targeting!" I hear in the back of my head as I type this, Yes but I dont play that way. But that is a different matter entirely. Tab Targeting isnt bad, just not something I enjoy doing for hours on end.

Gameplay:
Lets talk about the early game gameplay. Solid? Yes. HOWEVER!!!! This is where I bring up the Enemy spawns. Early game everyone is hunting the same things which means most main quest monsters you will be sitting around 3-5 minutes, only to have it die in front of you and have to wait again. Now I played this during the middle of the week when it came out on steam so that may have been part of it, idk. But enemies you need to kill early on will almost always be dead and you will have to wait for the respawn.

Final Thoughts:
If you have friends and dont mind running around and having a laugh with silly looking characters, go for it! but for a solo player looking to make friends in game, I feel it would take too long to find anyone. Do I recommend this game? Not for the solo player, I would look elsewhere. But if you got a group of friends and want to just have a game where you can mess around, go for it!
