I first saw Bitburner on Steam a few weeks prior to writing this review and decided against getting it as I felt like it would be far too time consuming to learn despite having prior experience with JavaScript.

I now have just over an hour of playtime and couldn't be more glad I came back and decided to give it a try as it's the most fun I've had in a while. I still have a hard time believing that a masterpiece such as this one is free to play!

I tried to do things to dennis, it didn't work..
Uncle decided to return the favour and do things to me.

Overall, fun.

10/10 would play again gentlemen

Sure, this DLC has it's bugs and is somewhat overpriced compared to what you get. Despite never-ending warnings telling me to stay as far away as possible from this DLC, I went ahead and purchased it anyways like the ignorant human being that I am.

Overall, I was actually surprised with how fun this DLC really makes the game. There were very obvious bugs at first, but Paradox has been releasing fixes every now and then that remove more and more of them each time. More features and bug fixes would be great, and I hope they'll come in time.

If you don't mind paying the equivalent of 3 coffee's (or 1 at Starbucks) for Island Bound, I recommend checking it out.

Review:

For sure the most satisfying game I've played in a long time. I finished this game in about 5 or 6 hours along with the bonus missions. In my opinion, you should only purchase this game if you have enough spare money to do so. I bought the gold edition for CDN$ 51.99 during the steam summer sale and ended up refunding it hours after. Prior to this, I had bought the Starter Edition to try the game and had to permanently remove it from my account before I could buy anything else, pretty much wasting 11 dollars. Gameplay wise, the game is very good with a lot of different themed maps. It offers plenty of opportunities to assassinate the targets with almost all of them being very satisfying and enjoyable. In general, I would recommend this game only to people who have enough money for the full game instead of the starter pack.
