I went into playing this game expecting a good game, but what I experienced was much more. This game is absolutely incredible. It really is everything other reviewers are saying it is. The game play itself is fun, immersive, and full of surprises. The story is rich and ever-changing to the decisions that you make within the game. Its not a game that will make you want to bash your head against the wall trying to figure out the combat system, and you aren't spending hours binding keys to spells, etc. Everything you need to help you along the way is fairly easily obtainable, through drops, shops or crafting if necessary.

One of the things that hooked me is the stunning visuals. This game is just downright pretty, offering breathtaking scenery throughout the entire game. There are waypoints you can take to fast travel throughout the world but I am going to be honest, I found myself riding Roach (Geralt's horse) to and fro just to soak up a stunning sunset or a nighttime ride under the stars. I spent a lot of time exploring and sight seeing, this game just makes you want to do that.

It is very story driven, and the cut-scenes can sometimes be long but I found that it really was entertaining, it held my interest. While in other games I sometimes am prone to skip a lot of cut-scenes and just get to fighting, this one, I wanted to see the story, to be immersed in it. There is so much to do, see and hear in this game, that it will have you content for many, many hours. Make sure that you get the Game of the Year edition though, you'll want the all of the DLC.
