The best survival game on Steam

Mystery, awe and, horror in equal measure.

This is an open world, exploration survival game that never holds your hand, yet mixes in just the right amount of narrative structure to keep you guessing and wanting to go deeper.

If you think (like I did) that a game set entirely under the sea of an alien planet would be boring, think again. The immersion is absolute and sets in the second you step into the game. With coral, sand and small fish being the only remotely recognizable things in range, the basal fear of the unknown takes center stage.

As you start exploring, collecting materials and crafting gear, you get familiarized with your surroundings, and develop a mental note of how far you're willing to go without the fear of dying. Little by little, you push yourself to expand this "safe range". In the beginning, the murky kelp forests will seem foreign and scary, but later on they will feel like your best friend in knowledge of what else dwells in the depths.

There is always a bigger fish.
