Review: I've been heavily disillusioned with the Sonic series for a long time now and even a great game like Sonic Mania didn't really hit truly home for what I loved about the Sonic series growing up...Shadow Generations scratched that itch and reminded me of an era of Sonic that will always be dear to me on a personal level.

The story is basically the same as the main game, Shadow is transported to a white void in time and has to revisit classic levels (and Frontiers) to get back home while also dealing with past villains like Mephiles and Black Doom.

The gameplay is solid and avoids the usual Sonic issues of constant bottomless pits and cheap deaths while also being harder to get S ranks than any other game past Sonic Unleashed back in 2008. Shadow also gains new Doom powers and while a couple can be a bit finnicky at times, they're all creatively used and make the stages even funner to replay to get better ranks

The music is comprised of remixes from previous levels and they're all a joy to listen too just like the original versions (bar Forces cause that OST is a turd just like the game).

I won't spoil the ending but if you grew up with SA2 and love Shadow, it will give a solid and sad conclusion to the character after so many years of not being the focus of this series.

I highly recommend Shadow Generations to anyone who likes Sonic and loves Shadow as a character, this is the real game that he deserved for some many years.

Finally got around to play Beyond Good & Evil after hearing how great it was for over 20 years, thankfully it lived up to all of that praise and more for me.

The game is full of really enjoyable characters, genuinely funny writing and also manages to be really sweet at times while really sad at other times.

I did encounter issues with the AI at times because Double H and Pey'j would get stuck on walls so I'd have to run back to them just for them to start moving properly again alongside Jade not picking up Pearls when she was supposed too but these were rare occasions and didn't detract from the overall experience at all.

Being able to go from the PC to my Steam Deck and not having the performance take any noticeable difference also made the game a lot of fun to play.

Recommend this one, it's a really fun time.

It's trash, just don't subject yourself to this s***.

I bought the game on the PlayStation 3 back in 2010, I've invested over 600 hours on that version and this is the same great game but with achievements and 60fps gameplay.

If you like strategy games then you need to play this game, it's a loved game for a reason.
