This game will absolutely defeat you. It will break you down in to tiny pieces, stomp on those pieces, demand you reassemble yourself, and then force you to destroy yourself. There is no mind sane enough, not heart healthy enough, no rage tempered enough, and no will strong enough to complete this game without suffering. But it sure as all hell feels good to lay into a boss who's devoured several of your heroes closest to your soul. I have yet do complete this game, but am 3 levels deep into the darkest dungeon. God is dead. There is no solace. Pain is eternal. This game is worth the pain for all those masochistic bastards out there like me.

This game is an interesting one for sure. The base game is entertaining to a degree, with it's own uniqueness to similar games of the type. It is set apart by atmosphere provided by an amazing soundtrack, beautiful visuals, and mystical or enchanted events. Once the dlc's come into play; however, Endless legend takes on several new dimensions of gameplay, lore, and frontiers. They add interesting new empires and gamechanging mechanics. They may be perhaps a bit pricy if you have a small budget like me, but it is made up for by the fact that only the host needs the dlc for the entire game to enjoy it's effects and play the expanded game. Definitely worth the money for all the dlc if you end up enjoying the base game alone.

First of all, I have respect for indie games as I have tried myself to make games and it is very difficult. That being said, I enjoyed the atmosphere of the game and I liked the integration of the puzzles to help you get abilities. I feel a quick tutorial or display of controls on the first level would have been helpful as well as maybe telling the player how to use the chandeliers. The combat system needs a bit of work as it feels like all you do is just hit things until they die but maybe in a full game the enemies would be more difficult and you actually have to be creative to defeat them. Overall, the game needs a bit of work but this is a good start I feel.
