More of a sequel to the original DOW than DOW 2, has my favorite linear campaign in the series . The story actualy portrayed the eldar in an interesting way and got the orks just right in my veiw. I didn't care for the power core multiplayer mode as much as I enjoy the recently added annialation mode, which I actually like the simplification of mechanics of (but I do miss the retreat function). The elite and doctrin systems allow alot of fine tuning and resulted in me enjoying playing as eldar for the first time. Music and visuals are typical Relic top notch, it runs better than DOW 2 and the Company of Heros games for me and now that the base price is $40 it is a must for any 40k enthusist.

HOLY HELL, I thought i was sick of 1st person shooters but after a seemingly quick 20 hour playthrough I think I need to do it again. Cannot recommend enough to the jaded FPS fan!

Base game is well worth $60 and only getting better with all the free DLC. Some of the paid DLC is expensive, but thats why we can reveiw the DLC seperately.

Ride around and stab guys for hundreds of hours.
