An exceptional continuation of the Souls franchise from Fromsoft. Modern sensibilities have continued to keep things interesting. Surprisingly approachable for newcomers with contextual ways to adapt difficulty.

Having tried vermintide before, I didn't like it. Dark Tide is a lot of fun. I appreciate the balance between melee and ranged and the classes add some interesting nuance to the "Left 4 Dead" formula. It feels challenging in a fair way.

Fantastic game. Re-designed and refined since the first. Tight story, fun gameplay.

The most refined of the souls series. I was actually able to progress decently far and not get stuck in blighttown or some other awful area. Will have to go back and revisit the other two games after this one however.

Above all else, the progression and gameplay loop is very well considered and designed. I highly recommend it with friends, and it would be a challenge to do solo, but definitely doable.

The visuals are perfect for what the intent is and there is enough realism to make it enjoyable, but the survival system is not overly tedious and tiresome like it is for other games (Grounded, Raft).

This game is undeniably incredible. CD Projekt Red has done an exceptional job at refining the Witcher franchise into something astounding. If you have not played this game, please play it. It deserves the recognition. Strong writing and immense attention to detail is what keeps me coming back for more every time. Especially on the PC version, the visuals are stunning. With mods, even more so.

Truly a masterpiece, a must play.

TL:DR - A fun, realistic FPS with some "hardcore" elements that many games lack. Lots of attention to detail.

- Maps are varied, but some are imbalanced and frustrating.
- Game modes are fairly limited compared to some other games.
