I love typing games. This is an on-rails typing game similar to games like Typing of the Dead. This one is set in the Warhammer universe and has a Doom 1/2 style aesthetic. I really like this game. Even though it's basically an advertisement for Boltgun 2, it is a pretty good game all on its own. Highly recommended for people who enjoy typing games like this. Two thumbs up!!!

While I haven't gotten very far in the game, I have played it for a bit and discovered that there is so much choice in this game, my OCD doesn't let me continue until I have tried all the routes to figure out which one I have deemed optimal. That means it will be a while before I finish.

I encountered some bugs also while playing the game when it launched, but I believe those bugs are fixed now with the recent patches. I just loaded it up again, and some of the dialogue I was blocked out of is now there. I will update my review after I complete a playthrough of the main story.

I was gifted an Early Access sub to this game by a friend and it was a very good gift as I played a lot of this game and enjoyed it quite a lot but then I stopped playing it for some reason so I should probably start it up again but there's always more games to play and I wish I had time for all these games!!!

Therefore, I recommend this game.

Bloodlines is one of the best games ever. I'm glad it's finally getting more exposure due to the sequel coming out in 2020. I bought the game when it first came out and I've probably re-purchased it 4 other times including here on Steam. Definitely apply the fan patch if you've never played it before but don't do the plus patch unless you've played the game vanilla first. There are many other fan mods for the game too. Lots of replayability since there are 7 character classes to choose from. Highly recommended!

While other companies are using Pot of Greed every turn, Konami is surprisingly lenient on the microtransactions in this free-to-play game. They instead made a game that is so good all my free time has fallen into a Dark Dimension Trap Hole. There are microtransactions but other than one Card Rotator banner image and an ocassional Drill Bug in the daily updates, they don't really Mirror Force them down your throat or encourage them that much. This is a welcome change of pace from most f2p games I've played.

The gameplay is what you'd expect from a Yu-Gi-Oh card game; you play against CPU opponents or can go online to challenge other players. I haven't done the multiplayer yet so my experience has been on the solo end of things. I spend a lot of time building decks and trying them out. This, to me, is where most of my enjoyment of card games comes from. There are multiple ways to get new cards for deck building. You can earn them from challenges, buy them from the in-game store with gems you earn from completing challenges/duels, or use the Card Trader who recycles his inventory every so often.

Also, as expected, you can buy packs with real money, but you don't have to do this if you don't want to. As I've said, there's plenty of other ways to earn in-game currency. I can accept this since it's a free-to-play game. Microtransactions have no place in anything except free-to-play games. Though personally I could do without them entirely but your mileage may vary.

Another great thing is you can unlock Téa Gardner really early. She's always so nice to everyone when she duels. What a great person. So full of energy and optimism. Best character is best.

So overall my final verdict is that this is a fantastic game that you can get hours of enjoyment with for free. Highly recommended.

EDIT on 11/23/2023 : Quick update to this review. Since I first played the game, I have over 2000 hours in it now and finally got all the achievements. Patience is a virtue with these kinds of games. No need to spend a lot of money just to build a good deck. Especially now with the new Wild Spirit Deck Build box. It's super free-to-play, only 50 packs in the box and if you go through the box a couple times, you'll have enough cards to build decks in three different archetypes: Lunalight, Bujins and Fire Fist. If you haven't played for a while, now is probably a good time to come back to the game. They also added a Rush Duel world for SevenS. It's a different card pool with different rules. It's pretty neat. I still highly recommend the game. Especially for fans of the Yu-Gi-Oh anime.

Great game. A classic in every sense of the word. It is great this game was remastered so that people that might have missed it get a chance to play this game. My only problem with it is you only get eight save slots. In an adventure game? Really guys? Really?

Other than that, it's imperative you play with tank controls. I tried with the new interface and, though they "work", it just doesn't fit the type of game this is. I entreat you, one and all, to play with tank controls. There's an achievement attached to it too. Just do it. You won't regret it.

But only eight save slots? That's just ridiculous. Patch this please, Double Fine. I beg you.

This is my second favorite game of all time behind Ultima IV: Quest of the Avatar.

Get it now.

Seriously.
