Orc massage, as the name suggests, is a game where you massage cute anime girls. Orcs are typically depicted as brutish and lustful. However, the start of the game shows you as gentle giant. It begs the question; if we are not a typical orc, then who are we? Looking deeper into the game, the anime girls act as foils to the Orc. By learning about the customers, you are learning about the Orc.

Thalia: An elf, business woman. She is stressed at her business and surpresses herself to remain professional. Thalia represents being overly reserved. Same as Thalia, the Orc is initially reluctant. When Thalia is with the Orc, she is no longer suppressing her emotions and desires. Thalia breaks him out of his shell. The Orc learns reservation may hide our ugly parts from others, but it also hides our good parts too.

Ava: An avian, female student. She is currently stressing over her studies and extracurricular activities. Ava represents work and life balance. Similar to Ava, the Orc is stressing to make a living. His head was filled with thoughts of mindless grinding and becoming a work horse. The Orc was able to provide the relaxation Ava needed. Seeing Ava taking the time to also heal her soul, taught him he also needs to relax. The Orc learns no matter how far we fly, we must remember to rest our wings.

Valerie: A tiger, policewoman. She is on constant watch of dangers around the community. Valerie represents paranoia. Due to the stigma of violent orcs, our Orc is fearful that he will get persecuted by simply existing. By getting to know the Orc, the Orc was able to wash away the prejudices she had. Instead of feeding into Valerie's paranoia, the Orc offered kindness. He learns that there will be hatred, but to remain respectful and compassionate.

Emma: A mermaid, singer. She is a big star that has to keep her image clean. Emma represents self image. Valerie represented the Orc's fear of others, but Emma expresses the Orc's fear of himself. Emma continues to get massages even though it may not fit her image of a perfect singer. When the Orc confronted the paparazzi chasing Emma, he was confronting a representation of one's self image. The Orc learns that he shouldn't see himself as a mannequin to doll up, but to look inward and grow to be happy.

In the end it's not about the massage, it's about the message. We shape others and others shape us.

Story This game takes on a souls-like approach to story telling. The story has to be pieced together from the CGs and gameplay. From what I interpret, it starts off with Izumi with her loving husband. She gets captured by some tentacled horror room. Her husband manages to get in to save her but succumbs to the room's desire. Both Izumi and her husband escape, and as the title suggests, she gets pregnant. The ending is fairly confusing as it shows Izumi copulating with various monsters. Which makes us think if her husband was even real in the first place or if she was just trying to keep herself sane by projecting a mental image. I got the bad ending in the end it seems.

Music Nothing amazing, but pleasant to listen to.

gameplay Game provides us with various cleaning tools to clean up various icons on the screen. I'm fairly certain this is referencing our attempt to keep Izumi's mind clean. Our struggle to keep Izumi sane. Cleaning the corruption and horrors that are plaguing Izumi.

Art Izumi is cute.
