Alright, so when i first saw this game on Steam, I downloaded it, read the reviews, and almost uninstalled. But I realized its unfair to judge the game before trying it. This game is a ton of fun. Queue times are fast. The vehicle customization is well done, the graphics are decent, and you can group up with friends fairly easily.

But this doesn't mean it's perfect. You'll have to grind for about 12 hours into the game until you get to level 10, and be able to chose a faction. Then you grind more to get to level 10 and so on with your faction. This would be fine-except for the fact that you can purchase coins with real money. Then use coins to by weapons/parts on the market. In this game your vehicle has a power score-a score that determines how powerful your machine is. Similar power scores will be paired up together. This would stop people who paid from being matched with people with worse cars. Unfortunately some weapons have a lower power score and players can create a very exposed vehicle in exchange for having 4 homing missiles coming after you.

The fix for this is easy; make them by cosmetics/cosmetic cases only. It would solve the "pay-not-to-grind" problem and the devs would still get the money to continue development for the game. This game is still in Early Access as of writing this and I'm sure there are many changes to come. My conclusion: Give it a try. If you don't like it, no harm done.

After all the hours I put into this game I thought it deserved a review.

Rocket League is amazing.
The mechanics alone are tons of fun to play with (especially with friends) and there's always things to learn. If you're thinking about getting it, don't hesitate. This game is fun on a competitive level, and also just for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ around with friends. Psyonix, the developers, have done a wonderful job of keeping it fun and fresh. With free updates and gamemodes practically every other month now there's always something to come back to. Psyonix has also clearly stated their support on mods that enhance the game and pose no advantage in multiplayer. Therefore, things like custom maps and the Rocket League Trainer have been made. These mods add to the constant updates, and are a lot of fun to play around with.

Review done.

(Am I biased? Probably. Should you get the game? Yes.)
