Early Access Review
I am thoroughly in love with this game. I play it more than any other game I have right now. As of writing, I have 100+ hours in it.

There is so much to love, starting off with the main selling point; the physics system. 'Every pixel is simulated.' This is true and oh boy is it fun to play with. You can kick objects into enemies, blow holes in the most terrain, mix liquids for a variety of effects and so so much more.

The per-pixel simulation might seem like a gimmick, but you can use it to your advantage a lot, such as dropping ice you cracked on enemies, filling a room of monsters with lava, electrocuting a pool party and so on.

That, while really fun, is only one part of Noita; spellcrafting is another big part. Mixing spells on wands to make a variety of effects and deadly combos. A wand that sets enemies on fire and crits against burning enemies? Check. You are electrically charged and have a wand that coats the room in water so you can electrocute everything around you? Check! I find myself spending minutes at a time in the Holy Mountain just trying out spell combos to make the perfect wand.

I highly implore you to experiment with wands a lot, it's so much fun! It will increase your slim chances of winning.

This game also has an amass of secrets, none of which I will spoil, but I will tell you to really think outside of the box when you play your next run.

That being said, while I feel everyone should give this game a chance, I can understand why some will and do dislike it. It is ruthless and punishing; there is no meta progression, you die and it's back to the start with the basic loadout, and you will die. A lot. Like, A LOT. Just about everything can and will kill you, fire, acid, lava, monsters, explosives, your own wands... For newer players, it feels like you're dying at complete random to things you could have never predicted, sometimes from 100% HP to 0% in an instant.

But, I promise, stick through with it and you will eventually get good enough to avoid getting Noited and you might just fall in love with the game like I did.
