Really fun, but the most annoying 100% achievement game I've played.

The game's story was surprisingly good. Although, the game was not as challenging in the ways I'd want it to be even on merciless. Good music as always. A bit expensive for how long the game is, but if you can get it on sale for ~$20 less then definitely worth it if you like strategy RPGs.

Do you like Persona? Their early work was a little too old school for my tastes, but when Persona 3 came out in '06, I think they really found the perfect formula, gameplay wise. The whole game has a clear, crisp narrative, and the new life simulation aspect really gives the atmosphere a big boost. The series has been compared to many other JRPGs, but I think has far more interesting casts than other games in the genre. In '12, Atlus released this updated version, Persona 4 Golden. I think it's their undisputed masterpiece, a game so easygoing, some players might find it repetitive. But they shouldn't, because it all builds up to the last four dungeons in the game. That section, from the music, to the fights, to the suspense, it's not just the best in the series, but perhaps the best in all of gaming.

When I initially received this game on May 28, 2018 on Humble Bundle because of their giveaway, I didn't think much of it. I played a ~10 minutes of the multiplayer with a friend and we both agreed the shooting mechanics and gameplay left a lot to be desired. Fast-forward to yesterday, I finally decided to give this game's campaign a shot after seeing the praise the story garnered. I finished the game today, and the story is truly as great. I don't want to spoil the plot, but I will say if you can survive the combat that hasn't aged very well, you will be rewarded by an amazing story.

Very fun party game, would recommend.
