EDIT: My issue was fixed by GameGuard. The devs have been blasting out update after update, steadily fixing issues. My second issue was fixed by Sony. I'd still be cautious about buying if you're worried about possibly needing to refund, but I think it's worth the risk.


The game is great, but I can't play it, and neither can 1 in 150 players per Arrowhead's FAQ. That's ridiculous and unacceptable.

I use Shadow to play games, it's like Google Stadia or Steam Deck cloud. I purchased the game on February 11th and played it nonstop, 38 hours in 5 days. Since the February 15th nProtect GameGuard update, when I start the game my keyboard, mouse, and controller inputs are blocked. I have to hard reboot Shadow, I can't even alt+tab away or ctrl+alt+del to close the game. There are numerous issues like this, even without Shadow or other streaming/control services.

I wouldn't purchase this until something changes with GameGuard. Right now, you could lose all of your progress, and money, at any moment for no reason on your end.

Also, requiring residential address information, which PSN does, to play a game MONTHS after it was purchased in unacceptable.
