I found Tyranny to be one of the best of Obsidian's games, which given Obsidian's Pedigre in rpgs is no easy feat.
Tyranny has one the the most impressive reputation systems I Have seen with comparable rpgs. It feels much like the logical extension of the New Vegas reputation system.
It has an extensive ~4~5 diverging paths that are genuinely different and substantial, it means even after having completed the game, I have barely scratched the surface of it's the content and look forward to replaying the game something that I have not done in a while with rpgs.
The building of characters is fairly free form especially in comparison to more class based CRPGs. And altho real time CRPG combat has never been great i still found Tyranny to be well into the engaging end of the spectrum.
The world and characters of Tyranny are spectacular, interesting and dark. Making for a setting much more fascinating than the fairly vanilla Pillars of eternity. With time & development Tyranny could easy match the Fallout in depth.
Unfortunately its sale numbers were not anywhere close to as high as the competing CRPGs of it's time, and the nicheness of CRPGs Tyranny may never get a Sequel which is a shame IMO as Tyranny has one of the most ambisius and unique flavor of RPG I have ever played.

Note: was played with both content DLCs which while they often are expensive for their pure quest constant, they are fairly important to making the game feel compete especially in regard to the companions.

Wonderful game, great sound track, surprisingly open, engaging story, and an increcdible diversity of game play.

Shadowrun Dragonfall and Hong kong are among the best rpgs to come out for a long time. They both can compare with even the lauded Obsidian games. And for me a real hiden jem that I wish I had tried sooner.
