This game is a fun concept BUT I highly recommend adding your own crimes and completely avoiding using the pre-made crimes all together. The pre-made crimes oscillate wildly between "quirky and silly" to "actual things that are crimes and are messed up" and it really ruins the vibe.

I streamed the entire game and voiced all the dialogue for a special V-Day stream, so it took me ~6 hours to complete. I think for a casual player this would take 3 hours tops.

I adore indie games and I purchased this randomly after being drawn in by the cover art, and seeing that it has a story very reminiscent of another fast food conglomerate's visual novel.

The story of Supersize My Heart is great, the music is FANTASTIC, and the art style is awesome. You can tell how much love and thought was put into this VN. I have mild questions of things that didn't seem totally wrapped up at the end, but overall, two huge thumbs up from me. I absolutely recommend this game! It's totally worth the full price pricetag. I really hope this dev makes more games!

I'm not typically into action rogue likes but I actually really enjoyed this game! I'm not very good at this type of game but I picked it up easily. The rules, concept, and controls aren't complicated. The dev added achievements, and it's compatible with Steam Deck. Heck yea.

This game took me like an hour and a half because I have no problem solving skills and definitely didn't read the "how-to" guide at first (whoops). That being said, it was a fabulous point and click game, fully voice acted, well written, funny, has a cool pixelated art style, and it's free! I'm looking forward to the release of Heir of the Dog :)

Looks like no one has reviewed this game recently so here goes:

For a first game by a solo dev, I say good job! It's a casual little point and click game where you find hidden cats that have turned to stone. They meow when you click them, and you can click them again to pet them (and it will tell you that cat's name which is cute). The cats can be tricky to find, which I appreciated as it didn't make it feel like I was wasting money by it being "easy". If you complete an area 100% it tells you in the upper left hand corner that you found all the cats, the most cats I've ever found was 634. And that was with me basically finding all cats in all areas except by the lighthouse! There are some neat references to actual places in Australia, which I enjoyed. You're able to change the window size, make it full screen, and adjust audio which I appreciate. There are achievements, which is pretty dope. Oh, and the dev published a guide themselves, can't say I've seen that before! It's not super thorough, but it helps if you get a bit stuck.

Yes, there are some things that are a little finicky. I still say it's worth the money. Examples of fiddly bits: when you are about to glide your mouse over the entrance to a new area, the mouse and game lag a bit trying to load the animation of the cat walking/the light lighting up. No biggie. After the initial lag it doesn't seem to happen again. There are only a few songs, so they loop and I guess it could get annoying that they repeat (I still liked the music, it even tells you what song is playing as it changes).

Overall, I got plenty of hours of play time in with this game. I'm happy with it, I look forward to seeing if the dev comes out with new content :)

There are a bunch of idle gamified productivity tools that you can have up in the background as you work and I've tried quite a few of them. If you're looking for something to keep you on track, but are new to the genre, I definitely recommend trying something out first before spending upwards of $30.

With that being said, Chill Drive checks the boxes of a basic productivity game. It's free, it has chill music, it has a timer, and additionally it has a tracker. You don't have to use their music, you can add your own. You can change the background if you get bored of seeing the same thing. Did I mention it's free? Srsly, you have nothing to lose, but productivity to gain! Give this one a shot, you won't be disappointed. Even after all the productivity tools I've tried, this one is a really great choice and I'll be keeping it in my rotation.

I played Parasocial before this one, and I’m both mad and happy about that. I’m mad about it because Parasocial set the bar high, and this game did not hit the mark. I’m happy because if I had played The Convenience Store first, I would not be willing to try any other Chilla’s Art games. The Convenience Store did have some frightening elements, and it could have been a really good game, but the game and story just weren’t fully fleshed out. I know that Chilla’s Art has a catalog of almost 20 games so they can be hit or miss. It was only a couple bucks, but I can’t recommend it. There was just too much time between the spooky stuff for it to be truly scary.

Potential spoilers: My gripes: the TV puzzle was annoying, what was the point of the VHS tapes, there was 0 direction on what to do (which would have been fine if it was slightly more linear i.e. not having an “open world” town that wasn’t used at all), the ending didn’t make any sense

It's fabulous to play on the steamdeck with the touch screen. I'm working on 100% completing the game and it's only been slightly grindy to do so. I'm pretty sure I would have completed it by now (77 hours in) if it weren't for me taking my steamdeck on a plane for 8 hours and closing the game without knowing the cloud wasn't syncing :( I had to restart to get some basic early on achievements to be totally done. Lame-o.I've tried contacting the devs/support about the missing achievements for months but haven't been able to get it resolved.

STEAMDECK TIP: **If you plan on travelling and care about achievements** leave the game running (this goes for any game) until you can get onto WiFi somewhere.

Who knew touching grass was so stressful? I won't be doing that again any time soon.
