Game is somewhat ok.
Yumia is by far the best alchemist of the series, she is great without any doubts.

Pro:
+Yumia, she is simply just amazing
+I have mixed feelings about the world, its somewhat interesting and frustrating at once
+OST
+Voice actors
+2 of the side characters are quite decent, but a bit on a emotional trip like teens
+Housing is nice but they should add more blueprints for more variety

Con:
-Game isn't well optimized
-Story is really bad compared to the most predecessors
-Bosses (there are not many and they're not really special or any interesting)
-Yumia's comrades except 2 are really bland and dull
-Crafting is too simple
-Combat just feels weird (I've seen worse combat designs but its still not that great)
-Price tag for a average game


I really want to like this game, but it's clearly not enough to justify the price tag.
The best part of the game is definitely Yumia, she even beats Ryza and some previous protagonists (Except Heidi, she is funny)

The game is worth max $50, wait for a good sale instead of feeding the beast.

The game isn't great, but there are worse. (better than the most western stuff at least)

+combat is like Ryza but slightly enhanced (it kinda depends on your preference, its not my favorite design but its fine)
+story is decent but it feels rushed
+Brandish is waifu
+good loading times (about 1 second usually)
+they kept the original comedy scenes
+OST & voice acting
+Great unlockable post-game outfits

-graphics look a bit sluggish sometimes even on max setting
-world and especially cities feel dull and empty (No NPC's?)
-RPG elements are lacking quite a bit
-launching or leaving the game seems to be a bit bugged

Fans may enjoy it but as veteran JRPG player you should wait for a sale.

Sad that druid isn't available already, rolling through the city is the true trial.
Eitherway its like Elden Ring x Poe, it feels different than Poe1, its less spammy and everything has more impact in general.

+Gameplay is top notch
+Abilities are a nice upgrade compared to 1 (despite some missing important core abilities which are still locked)
+OST is nice
+Kinda spicy compared to 1 (Currently it feels like a soft version of elders sometimes)
+Bosses are over the top (Except the last in act 2, he was kinda boring)


-ASC feels weaker than the ones in Poe1 (at least for some classes you won't notice a huge difference)
-I hate the jumping zombie bird gorilla mobs in act 2
-Beetle traps are annoying (I miss the classic blink)

Overall I'd say its the best ARPG for some decades, and probably the best game in general of the last 5 years.

I hope druid is gonna be fun.

Positive:
-Eidolon battles are quite fun even tho far too easy
-MC is kinda interesting

Neutral:
-Story is okayish, nothing special but somewhat acceptable

Negative:
-Bad performance after a few hours (vram and cpu usage gets more intense) Reboot the game helps but still meh.
-OST is kinda bad compared to previous titles
-Highly depending on upscaling which is really odd.
-Too linear (No need for open world but there is just 1 single path always)
-Side quests are super boring


Overall:

I don't recommend this game to anyone not even for $1 as long the performance issues aren't solved.
I'd say worth 20 bucks on a good sale once(if) they fix it.

I lost my interest in FF and Star Ocean entirely since the so called NewGen titles exist.
The last good one was 12.

If you really want a good SE game, go for Romancing Saga instead, its probably the only good game they have beside of some specific Dragon Quest games.

And if you want a real JRPG, look elsewhere which isn't made by SE.

Basically counterside with different camera angle and some movement.
Both games are bad.
Gacha gets worse and worse every year.
Characters look extremely boring, story is the common stuff as usual, gameplay bad.

Sorry but this isn't a game its a loading screen simulator paired with run from A to B and B to A in a never ending loop.
Its basically a even worse version of ToF or Genshin

First and foremost, I completely dislike each kind of platformer related games overall (Except the first Mario/Wario games for the Famicom Classic).
I might never like them, but Shantae has something I can't explain.

Its special in so many ways.
The bosses have interesting mechanics, the outfits are a cool additional part, the transformations based on the map related patterns and mechanics are really smart.

I like Shantae herself, she has a great personality and is cute.
The other characters are pretty decent as well.

Note this: As non-platformer player who doesn't enjoy these games I still recommend it.
Make a 3D Shantae game (especially if its a normal RPG) and I'll jump onboard immediately.

10/10 despite some minor flaws (such as weird quest descriptions sometimes)
