even with a psn account i think the action of forcing people to create another account while purchasing the game through steam or any other platform is seen as power numbering for a bigger company while a lot of companies do this example microsoft with minecraft it doesn't protect us the user/player based incase of a hack. nobody wins in this situation as the community will decrease, the shareholder don't win and sony is just being shown as a tyrant please revert the decision
