Destiny has the potential to be a thick, meaty, content-packed game with a lovely story. Unfortunately, Bungie doesn't care about preserving their game - or its story - for new/returning players; Bungie only cares about you buying the new shiny thing.

It's Dark Souls, it's a good game. If you're looking to play along with a new friend, this is definitely more convenient than jumping on PTD and finagling with DSFix and connectivity mods.

That said, "Remaster" is a bit of a stretch. They wanted to bring the game to the current gen consoles, which I respect... But for PC they've done absolutely nothing here. This is a superior "port" compared to the original, but this is a pitiful amount of work for a studio that had their hands on the source code.

Durante implemented the same basic features this Remaster has with DSFix, within hours of the vanilla port's release; ambient occlusion, custom resolutions, depth of field & UI adjustment, and eventually 60fps down the road.

This should have been free, or at least dirt cheap, for people who already owned the game, especially considering the lousy state of the original port.

Dark Souls is like that town you once visited where the streets were clean, the people were friendly and the air was fresh, and then you came back a couple of years later and it had turned into a ghetto and everyone was homeless and strung out on crack and LSD.
