I'm a big fan of the previous games, and this is a fitting modernization of them. As it is a rougelite, it has some replayability that the previous games lacked. Its quite polished, and while I can see it working better with a controller, I find that it is still quite fun to play using a keyboard and mouse. The maps are nice, and you rarely get stuck due to the randomized props.
I haven't gotten too far, only through the first area, so I'm looking forward to what I find next!

Three things I would change
-lower the search rate of broken weapons, or make it so you can dissassemble them
-increase inventory space, I already have the max and still always go over it(even with mutation boost), should be able to research for more
-if zombies can get body armor, why cant the player?

You are gonna have a bad time.
