A wonderful chill game with a simple, brilliant soundtrack.

The new Denuvo kernel level anti-cheat is a pretty bad look for Bethesda, given how scummy they've been over the last several years. I'm just glad I was able to finish the game before it was added, because this kind of behavior is questionable AT BEST.

But the truth is, I found the game to be mediocre at best. I wanted so hard to like it, I loved DOOM 2016, and this one couldn't NOT be better, since it has a FREAKIN GRAPPLING SHOTGUN! And yet, the difficulty balance felt off, the combat didn't feel like it flowed as well as its predecessor, and it felt like there was a general lack of bosses. In fact, every boss fight in the game felt surprisingly easy and forgettable, especially when compared to the Marauders! Overall, a forgettable addition to the DOOM franchise. I'm far more likely to reinstall 2016 and replay that, than I will ever be to replay Eternal.

At least the music was good

Having played all of the Tribes games for more hours than I care to admit, this game brings back the classic Tribes feel better than anything else in recent years. Happy to be a supporter!

A great combination of Roguelike gameplay, fun 'retro' graphics, and an amazing soundtrack! Easily worth full price, but if it's on sale you're stupid not to buy it!
