A fantastic fighting game with much complexity and depth. Unfortunately it takes a lot of practice to get to the meat and potatoes of the metagame. Much of the practice involves labbing, aka figuring out the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ a given character is doing to you. While this is a necessary evil in most fighting games, the time investment is completely different story in Tekken 7. Some people enjoy the complexity, but having limited time as an adult makes it more of a chore than anything. I also don't think having bloated movesets necessarily makes the game better. This isn't an indictment of the game, as it is one of the funnest, most rewarding fighting games I've ever played, albeit incredibly frustrating at times. The beauty of it is that there are less difficult characters(eg. Paul, Noctis, Fahkumram, Leroy(lol)) one can learn to get you up and running quick.

Also, the training mode could use improving for Tekken 8. The recording system needs to be on the level of other competitors in it's class, eg Street Fighter V, DBFZ, and even Pokken Tournament. The sad part is that Bamco games listed have better Training modes than the most popular fighting game of the brand, Tekken 7. Other than that, if you're planning on getting this game to play in a competitive capacity, just know that it will take a lot of time and effort to be competent even more than most fighting games. On that note, enjoy!

Pros:
-Very fun gameplay
-great graphics
-colorful characters
-combat is a delight

Cons:
-A bit short
-Because it's on the short side, not all characters get the same amount of time to grow ie level up
-Dante overstays his welcome while Nero is pushed to the side in the latter half despite him being the lead.
-Dante's gameplay doesn't feel polished like Nero's and doesn't have a good flow imo. With Nero it feels like less is more whereas Dante just has a lot of fluff.
-The ending seemed rushed and Vergil was kind of a weak villain.

I REALLY enjoyed DMCV, these criticisms aren't an indictment of the game, they're just the things I noticed when playing. Please play this game, you won't be disappointed.

It's a souls game but with more mobility, stealth combat, and it's much easier. that last one may be a bad thing to some people so take it with a grain of salt.
