Very uncommon gameplay where you actually have to use your different equipment to level up skills and learn "spark" new abilities. Also an open world jrpg which is great if you don't want to just follow a particular route. And it feels very suikoden like in terms of player character available (though not as many). I just wish we could have a place where they could stay and you could re-recruit them without much hassle.

This game is pure nostalgia. SE made right to us and added an option to play with the original SNES look instead of the mobile version. This is a jrpg developed by the greatest minds of that time and I recommend it for everyone.

If you are fan of jrpgs or if you like a good story, this game should be a delight for you. This game goes above and beyond when it comes to the world building and characters - when you do a side quest, for example, even most the npc's lines changes according to what happened in the story. In other words, the world and the characters feel "alive" and react to story plots, unlike in most jrpgs. The combat is very good and allows for some strategy, although it may also drag a bit on normal encounters. The soundtrack is phenomenal and on par with any of the acclaimed FFs. The graphics are not that great, but the character sprites offer a lot of versatility and can decently convey expressions that aid story telling. Should you experience this game, know that it ends in a cliffhanger. The good thing is that the second game is already available so you wouldn't have to wait years for its conclusion, like most of us did. And if you like this game, the second is even better! But that's another story. =)

The game is short but is very much worth your time, if you won't mind it for not having a lot of gameplay.
The story is great, very touching, however it could have been better if a few scenes didn't break the game's mood once in a while.
Recommended, especially if you wait for a Steam sales to get it on the cheap and have like 6 hours or less of time to spend.
