I don't see many (if any) reviews from the people that have finished this DLC, only negative release day comments. This makes no sense and is simply dumb of them.
This was a good finale of a good game. After spending about 60 hours on both campaigns, I can say that I've enjoyed both of them. Firstly, I have completed Balaton campaign, both historic and non-historic paths. There's not much to say about it, it's short and there's nothing really new. Then I started the main course, Victory in the East. FYI this campaign I've finished on normal and I tried to restart the scenario as rarely as possible.
There's no issues with specialist steps being under powered. The specialists cost more but it's compensated by the sheer amount of points obtained from a single mission. By the second conference, I've stacked about 1k points. Also, there's a difference in specialist costs based on scenario (and specialists cost LESS in some scenarios). By the end of the campaign you will definitely have 3 specialist elite infantry units that will crush fortified enemies. And you get good tanks literally in the first scenarios.
The campaign is very long. I think time wise this is the longest DLC. At some point I actually got tired from it. The missions are more dynamic in the beginning, but starting conference 3 you're the only one actively pushing, the AI stays still and presents no threat to you. Some scenarios were somewhat dumb and annoying, some were S+ tier soviet blitzkrieg. Really enjoyed Carpathian campaign with Slovakia establishing an enclave behind enemy lines.
I didn't like a few things. I don't see why you wouldn't make Berlin the final scenario. I wouldn't mind if you reduced the size of the campaign in half, but added more non-historical paths. And I don't know why you've added "Capture the prisoners" objectives in the last 2 missions. It completely killed all the dynamics of the scenario. I prefer "Damage and Advance" to "Flank & Starve" tactics.
However, these are minor issues. As I said, the DLC is good. Good night, Uo2, my beloved.

It has already crashed, I had to recompile shaders a lot and the optimization is absolutely disgusting so I can confirm this is actually Stalker

- if you have too much stuff in the inventory, the game crashes
- if you want to sell to much stuff to the trader, the game crashes
- the body you've picked up may not respond to the drop command; changing the gun makes the body disappear
- enemies can see you through the walls
- radio effect during the radio transmission sometimes disappers

UPD: I think everything has been fixed already.

I had absolutely no idea what this game was at all. Never knew where the memes come from, never heard about the story, never played beat 'em ups, never was a fan of Japan.
Now I have posters of Kiryu and Majima. Absolute masterpiece.

I want to point out the fact that I have completed this game many times already yet it still feels fresh. Unlike the mom of the person who decided to charge 15$ for a 20-year-old game

This was the first DLC I have played after the finishing of the main campaign. I dropped it after the first scenario on `Normal` and went to play African campaign on `Classical`. I got some additional experience and returned to the Moscow. It was fun. Really fun and challenging.
1) You will never have a lot of good units. Don't risk them too much
2) All the other units are bad. Their casualties don't matter
3) Your only tactics is to push as many of bad units behind the enemies good units to cut the supply. Their casualties don't matter
4) If they remove the encirclement - push even more units. Their casualties don't matter

That's it lads. Сock and bone.

This is a completely updated post-mortem review written from scratch. I just want to pay tributes to this game for being absolutely brilliant yet completely underrated and unfairly forgotten. This game was one of the most fun experiences. The guns, the maps, the classes, the sounds - it was a terrific game to play. It had been completely abandoned by the devs even when I was playing it in 2019-2020. No moderation led to one of the most competitive and toxic communities I've been to where only the most skilled players gained respect. This was a great game, lads. So sad it's gone now.
RIP DOI, I loved you.

I remember when I first saw this game in YouTube let's play back in 2014 and I thought like wow this game is amazing. I've got a machine that could start this game only in 2019, 5 years later. What can I say? It got me. This game made me want to walk aroung city and try to find all the collectibles. Did I do that before? Hell no. Also, now I want to go to Hongkong. The game looks awesome, especially the way midnight city after rain looks like. All that neon stuff, wonderful buildings, Chinese coloring. Wonderful game.
