The game itself isn't THAT bad, it's a bit of fun for whatever the mayhem is worth. The thing that absolutely kills it for me is that the ONLY game mode is free-for-all which means that you can't queue with friends unless you make a private lobby.

Great game so far, ignore the “mixed” reviews; EU players just never experienced an MMO launch before.

Imagine Rocket League without cars, boost, or goals.

Even going into the game knowing about the branching paths, I was still surprised by how much the game can deviate at the end depending on the choices you make. I expected my second playthrough to deviate only slightly from the first, but it was like I was playing an entirely different game with significantly expanded segments. Replaying through the first few missions can be tedious with multiple playthroughs, but discovering all of the possible outcomes is very exciting and mind-blowing.

Battle royale with MOBA mechanics and strategized looting.

Instead of mindlessly running to different areas trying to find loot, you can plot out a plan on the map before the game starts where you go to areas with the items you know you'll need to craft your gear. Learning how to plot your routes and speed run your gear build is half the battle; most fights don't even start until people are moderately geared, so there's less worrying about dying in the first 5 seconds of a match.

Imagine playing SOCOM with worse graphics and worse controls in 2020. Now imagine doing that only you have to spam refresh for 20 minutes to squeeze into the one active lobby full of elitists that think they have social clout in a dead game.
