I remember seeing dark messiah advertised at e3 back when it first came out and I wish I played it back then, It's still enjoyable today but playing through it in 2006 would have fried my brain.

I've spent over 50 hours playing receiver and I still have mixed feelings about it. The reloading mechanics are fantastic and I hope to one day see the same mechanics in a more fleshed out game. Sadly past the reloading mechanics receiver is quite a shallow game. You only ever come across 2 types of enemy; turrets and drones, neither are practically fun to fight. There is only a small number of possible rooms so after you've played for a few hours the level design becomes very repetitive. The only objective is to find the tapes which can either be very tedious or ridiculously easy depending on the random level generator. Most of receivers problems come from the fact the bulk of the game was made in 7 days with only one real update after it's release, It's just a shame no more content was added afterwards.

I hope one day a game developer will notice Receiver and make a properly fleshed out game built around It's gun mechanics. but until that game comes out I'll just have to keep playing reciever and you will.

This is a great game to play while listening to podcasts & audiobooks.

cheap and not very well polished

Killing DEMONS with SHOTGUNS and picking up neon coloured SKULLS to open doors, in HELL.

This isn't some nostalgia trip, this game is the 100% legit greatest game of all time past, present and with the way things have been 'progressing' future. honestly if you think this game is dated or aged poorly you know ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about video games.
