Do you like Elden Ring or souls-like games? Do you also have two or more friends that do as well? If the answer to both of those is yes, I highly recommend this game especially at the $40 price point.

It has some major blemishes that stand out if you are a solo player/have no friends, that don’t seem like will change. No voice chat being the number one in my opinion. Lack of cross-play is also a big head scratcher for me.

I think the majority of the hate for this game is unwarranted because the game does what it sets out to do. If you bought this game to play by yourself and don’t like the circle closing in on you, you never were going to like this game. They made it pretty clear how this game was supposed to be played from the very first trailer.

That being said it’s not Fromsoft’s most outstanding game that they have ever made. But that is okay. Not every single game that comes out needs to be the greatest game that’s came out this current year or ever.

8/10 would die over and over again, again.

Absolutely stunning visuals on top of all time classic RPG. The nostalgia is overwhelming for OG players and the “modern” quality of life changes are great. Would definitely recommend to someone who hasn’t played the OG version. Have seen very minimal visual bugs that I’m sure will get ironed out.

My 13 year old self could not dream up a better outcome for this game.
