It's a lovely concept for a narrative game but unfortunately the story feels very flat. It's also very buggy I'm afraid. I think with more work on the story it could be a better game.

I'm writing this after completing the first chapter (the part of the game which is currently available as of Jan 2021). The game is gorgeous, the world is unique, and the characters are very likable and compelling. I can not wait to discover more of their story.

I don't leave many reviews on games but I wanted to take the time to say I really enjoyed this game since its by a relatively small team. I've completed it/had it uninstalled for over a month now and I still find myself thinking about it and wanting to reinstall just to look at the world again.

The setting, atmosphere and voice-acting really make this game. The story is really interesting, and it was easy to get lost in the game exploring the world and talking to anyone I could find. (That's a lot coming from me, someone with a pretty short attention span).

The gameplay is nice but becomes quite tedious after about 75% through. It could perhaps be improved if the final quest destinations could be reached a bit quicker.( I'm also a terrible driver and run into the "beams" and other cars of the speedy turnpikes quite often, which kinda deflates the feeling of "woohoo zoom time!". But again, perhaps its just because I'm such an awful pilot, haha.)

Lastly, there are some feminist and racial dialogues in the game that, while I agree with the sentiment, I think they would be better if the characters who are being gross would say what they have to say without the protagonist's dialogue back, ( her dialogue is usually explaining clearly to the player that what they're saying is "wrong.") That way the player's own empathy can fill in the blanks. "Hmm it didn't feel great to have someone talk to me this way." It just felt a bit on the nose.

These are just small nit-picks I had with the game, the only real set-back I had with it was the tediousness of the gameplay for the last quarter of the game. Overall I really enjoyed this game, and look forward to any updates the devs might have in store for it!

If you're a fan of Harvest Moon / Stardew Valley type games you will love this. Not only is this game adorable, it's really huge! The current beta price of $20 is a great deal. The characters are adorable, the art direction is very appealing and building up your house / farm is really fun! I also really loved how many options there were customizing my character! The fighting and mining gameplay could use some work but as the game is still in beta it doesn't bother me. Overall I can't recommend this game enough.

This game is super fun and handy for far off friends.
