this game is cute, very cute but.. thats kind of it.
i was VERY excited for stray, and bought it days after it came out, but after an hour and a half of basically walking and jumping in a linear path it got extremely boring.
to be fair, i went into this completely blind, i knew nothing about stray other than there was a cute cat and it looked pretty. i was hoping for a more open world experience and maybe some voice acting especially at a 30$ price point. but the game is very very linear, and the puzzles are pretty simple. its definitely more story based and would probably be better as a movie.
i'm not saying the game is complete garbage, it's good, just not for me.

also some of the physics where kind of weird with the pots.

im not very far into the game, as of writing this ive just finished the sort of tutorial bit (right after you get your AMPS). i bought this on sale for 5$ which is an actual steal, i would've bought this full price as well. i enjoy the comedy n' how some characters will yell at you if you ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥ up. the art/animation style is also really cool, i was unsure about it at first but i like it.
i enjoy the character customization, if there's ever a new game following this story line i'd like to see a more non-binary character option (which i kind of doubt, this did come out in 2018. though it'd be cool!)
the music is also really good, i like how upbeat it is.

im playing with a keyboard, but i definitely recommend using a controller for this since theres just so many extra buttons to press. i tried using the extra buttons on my mouse but it was uncomfortable trying to click the side buttons and shoot at the same time. so i'd say to at least try it out with a controller to see whats most comfortable.

there's a few negative reviews regarding the 'corrupt save' error message, thats the first message i got upon opening the game for the first time.. which slightly confused me but i just deleted the file. it also did it again when i exited and went back to the title screen but it did not corrupt my current save file. as of now, the corrupted save file error doesn't seem to screw up save files, but i'll edit this if it occurs to me at a later time.

over all i think this game is REALLY cool, the story line is creative and who doesn't like shooting the ♥♥♥♥ out of weird zombie creatures?

me and the homies played this (shout out to y'all) and it was a very eye opening 2.6 hours of our lives. we laughed, we cried, we cringed, and one of them admitted to having a foot fetish. we learned more about each other, and bonded as friends.
i think this awakened something in all three of us, something we will all live with for the rest of our lives.

this game ruined my life in the best way possible

i LOVED this game, theres so much to explore and do it's a lot to take in honestly but in a good way. Episode five was AMAZING and so worth the wait, so emotional. <3 11/10 game
