As a child shelter enthusiast, I can say: those coal piles won't collect themselves!

Seriously, this game is really fun, even though I've never really been into the city builder genre. After a few failed attempts I managed to stockpile so much resources that I could survive for a month on steam level 4. The satisfaction of a self-maintained city never been higher.

If you are into tyranny, cults, child labor and eating corpse-fertilized cabbage, this is your game.

I've never been too much into the mech genre, but I honestly gotta say that this is one of the best games I've played in a long time and maybe ever.

The story has so much depth and the characters are so believable that I felt completely immersed through the whole experience. The mech customization really makes you think about your builds and experiment with different setups. I spent a lot of time just trying to find a build with good synergy between weapons. Most of the builds are good for different scenarios, so basically you are meant to try different kind of ACs for each mission and I think I tried most of the items that the game had to offer. In some FS games I felt that playing an NG+# playthrough could be such a chore, but in this game I never felt that, especially because the alt missions which sometimes turn the whole plot upside down. The western VAs made an excellent job with their characters, I always felt the tension, the joy and the agony through the character voices and I loved it.

If you like From Software games, a good challenge and an immersive sci-fi story, I think this is one of the best games you should try. Even for non-mech fan people.

Now that the disastrous launch is over, and the servers are working I'd say that this game needs more time to be a more polished experience. The last Payday game was much different but it didn't lack essential features like prep phase chat lobby. The gunplay feels good but about 10% of guns are actually viable in loud. Forget SMGs alltogether, as they are only ammo dumps with no real damage as of right now. The heists are fun but after 65 hours (lv. 81) they could be figured out mostly and meta strats are already ruining the variety. The progression system is a joke rn, you can only gain exp for infamy with challenges and they are a real chore later on.

I'd say that as of right now I'd wait for this game to get into better shape with essential functions included (like voice chat, prep phase lobby chat and a better in-lobby loadout building).

Otherwise just put on the mask and pop heads endlessly.
