Great game, recommend to people who like these games for what they are.

It's hard and you should expect to have to progress through it a bit before you can be strong enough to readily deal with a lot of the stuff easily. It feels as if it's almost a hard reset of your characters progression back to 0 when entering the DLC. As someone who expected this and figured there would be a level of challenge, I wouldn't have it any other way. I was more worried it would be too easy and I'd be steamrolling through the content with late game gear and I'm glad those fears were unfounded.

Even with all the hype train going on.. Exceeded expectations.

Combat is fun and rewarding.

Exploration is fun and rewarding.

The game remains challenging even as you gain a lot of power and progress through the story. You'll reach a point you think you're getting very powerful and go to a new area and get humbled pretty quickly.

My only complaint is that gear or spell progression for some classes does not feel as rewarding as other ones. Some classes don't really get any gear or spells worth swapping out your starter stuff out for for quite a while.

Other than that thumbs up. Easily 8-9/10, best game I've played in years.

Came in with 0 expectations and it was an enjoyable experience. There are definitely some broken things about the game; without beating a dead horse. And some missed opportunities for more complex systems and synergies. But overall the storyline and gameplay are engaging and engrossing (to me at least, I enjoy darker themes.). And it was honestly one of the best games I've played in awhile. And as someone who doesn't finish most games this one had me wanting to finish to completion. Already have beaten the game twice and am currently on my third play through.
