As a serious stalker nerd who has hundreds of hours in a variety of games and mods in the series, this is an amazing sequel. The performance is not great so beware before buying however if you are a fan of the series and the base material be sure to get this game.

Spent 50 minutes in the game, killed 3 AI targets who were standing still in the middle of the road, looted a dead friendly, realized I need to walk the length of Chernarus to get to any meaningful pvp, went back to the base with a littlebird, all while averaging 50 fps which even dipped into 20s at points. The tasks seem even staler than Tarkov's, the looting compartment of the whole looter shooter formula seems to be missing from the equation, the movement is clunkier than an fpsmaker game, the guns are unsatisfactory. Honestly, an average 'Early Access' experience.

Honestly speaking, from the accuracy of the portrayal of the weapons to the crazy amount of customization options available to the very solid and outstandingly satisfying mechanics, Sandstorm is the perfect point where realism and fun/casual shooter experience meets.

A very aim intensive, fun objective based shooter that has a ton of unlocks to keep our cod brains engaged. Don't mind the people crying about the blueprints, they are a special currency that is only required to get random gun mods that give slight buffs to base guns. The alpha had lower costs so the rarer gun mods would be tested out properly. The game itself is amazing fun with very good shooting mechanics paired with good and fun movement. Though it needs some balancing and a lot of work on the net code side of things (very well could be overload since the game just launched on steam 08.09.22), the base game is amazing fun and the best time i have had with an objective based shooter since Dirty Bomb
